Zaburo Gaez (ザブロ・ゲーズ Zaburo Gēzu?) is the adjutant of the Scarlet Stele King Grysilis Derro.
Appearance[]
Zaburo looks like a small boy whose gaze and mannerisms give off a feeling of shrewdness.
Personality[]
Zaburo places his research above everything else, including people's lives, as he voiced his interest in dissecting Eleonore and Zeshia. Despite his appearance, Zaburo's speech is reminiscent of that of an old man.
History[]
Zaburo served the Scarlet Stele King since the Mythical Age. At some point, he created a magic relic based on the spells Jerga and Aske, which was mistaken to be Jerga's.[3]
Synopsis[]
Great Spirit Arc[]
When the Jerga-Kanon students bring the relic to Midhaze Castle in order to dispose of it, Zaburo appears and poisons them. Eleonore and Zeshia eventually come as well, so he reveals the true purpose behind Eleonore's creation— to create a vessel strong enough to hold the power of a God. Zaburo then shows his desire to dissect them for his research on source magic. Afterward, he summons scarlet steles that turn their classmates from the Hero Academy and the people at the castle into ghouls to chase after them.
The girls find the main monument powering the spell, but they don't have enough power to destroy it. To make it more difficult, Zaburo uses the steles again to cast Jino Greanas, reducing their magic power even further. However, he is shocked when Eleonore uses Aske to gather magic from seemingly nowhere. But she reveals that she's using her spell form to create the emotions within a source directly, without having to create the sources themselves, and then destroys the monument. Zaburo is still in disbelief that a humanoid magic could surpass the Scarlet Stele King's magic, but Eleonore reminds him that she's the Demon King's magic.
Abilities[]
- Great Magic Power: As a demon from the Mythical Age, his magic power is very high compared to demons from the modern Magical Age.
- Spell Theory: Due to being the adjutant and disciple of the Scarlet Stele King, Zaburo has demonstrated great magic knowledge as he was able to create demon versions of the Jerga and Aske spells, as well as create Goa Grum, which is an improved version of Anos' Igrum spell.
