The Great Spirit Mother and the Demon King's Right-hand Man (母なる大精霊と魔王の右腕, Hahanaru Dai Seirei to Maō no Migiude^?) is the sixth episode of The Misfit of Demon King Academy II anime series.

Synopsis

Anos and the others have infiltrated the Underground Dungeon. Before their duel against Avos Dilhevia, they use Time Magic, Revalon, to go back in time to Gairadite two-thousand years ago, in order to unravel the secret behind Misa's birth, Shin Reglia, Anos' right-hand man's, intentions, and the reason behind the Great Spirit Leno's death. What Anos saw in the world after he had passed was―.

Summary

At Delsgade's dungeons, Anos finds Menou and Revest, both of whom are unaffected by Demera. Anos informs them of his plan to time travel, which requires the Guardian God of Time's scythe and a distraction to activate the spell. Revest volunteers, so Anos inflicts him excruciating pain with Degzegd, alarming Luche and the soldiers of his presence, while Menou points them in the wrong direction. In the Treasure Room, Anos combines his magic power with those from his subordinates to activate Revalon, sending them to Gairadite two thousand years ago.

Because Aharthern's rumors involved throwing Holy Light Candy at the lake to open a path to the forest, Zeshia and Eleonore buy more than enough at a stall. Shin and Leno also attempt to buy the candy, but since it sold out, Zeshia hands them a couple without knowing who they are. In exchange for the candy Zeshia gave them, Leno gave her a small bag of cookies.

The two return to Aharthern and find it under attack by the Divine Beast Gwen. Leno also detects Anos and his friends, so he disguises himself as a child to avoid a paradox, and introduces himself as Anoshu Polticoal. Leno asks him about their reason for being in Aharthern, so he explains that Lena is a spirit who lost her memories, but Leno pretends not to know her. However, she pulls Anosh aside and explains that Lena is the Love Fairy Fran. If she found out like this, she would disappear, which is why she must remember who her love is first. Then suddenly, they are attacked by a large gwen, which Lay holds off with his bare hands. Anosh then orders Shin to lend him Sigsesta, allowing Lay to slay the divine hound. After Lay slays the large gwen, Shin lends the Sigsesta for as long as he's there, in exchange for him to succeed in grazing him with it, to prove if he's worthy of carrying it.

Adaptation Notes

Differences from the light novel:

• The anime omits the involvement of Lignon, Gennul, and Gigadeith in the battle against the gwen (they are easily overwhelmed by the divine beasts though).
• In the anime, Anoshu reveals himself to protect Reno. But in the novel, he reveals himself because Reno can sense everyone in the Great Spirit Forest.
