The Seven Demon Elders (七魔皇老 Shichima Kōrō?) are the seven demons created from Anos' own blood 2,000 years ago, just before passing away. Their existence was created and given life by magic, not by reproduction. It was prepared because Anos needed a body to inherited his own blood when he reincarnated.
History[]
The Seven Demon Elders are the seven demons created from Anos' blood. They inherited the traits and talents of the Founder. Before Anos reincarnated he commanded these demons to have children and expand their bloodlines. These seven demons started the Demon King Academy Delsgade to raise the next generation of Demon Emperors. Their followers and subordinates started calling them Seven Demon Elders since Anos didn't give them names because he was too busy with his reincarnation.
During the the 2,000 years before Anos reincarnated, the Seven Demon Elders collaborated with the Hero Kanon to replace Anos as the Demon King of Tyranny in order to create a decoy for when the human race exacted their revenge. As part of their plan, they had their sources fused with Kanon's six other sources, leaving Melheis Boran out as Kanon's remaining source belonged to himself. They all agreed to have their memories wiped out since they couldn't lie to Anos if they ever met after he reincarnated.

Hero Academy Arc[]
After liberating Gaios and Ydol from Avos' control, Melheis suggested using the combined influence of all of the Elders on Anos' side to strengthen the political influence of the Unitarians, but Anos decided against it since it could instigate a civil war between the demons and force Avos into hiding. Melheis warned Anos about the possibility of a trap while his class visited the Hero Academy. During the trip, Ivis appeared and warned Anos that the three remaining Demon Elders under Avos' control had disappeared from Dilhade and could have potentially come to Gairadite.
Eventually, the three remaining Demon Elders attacked the shrine underneath the Hero Academy, lead by Avos Dilhevia, as the false Demon King stole Hero Kanon's holy sword, Evansmana, before issuing a declaration of war against those who opposed him before escaping. Afterwards, the Avos-controlled Demon Elders made a announcement to reveal that they had discovered the reincarnation of the Demon King, as Avos revealed himself and stated his plans to annihilate humanity, rallying followers to his side.
As the war began, Anos and his group of Demon Elders attacked a demon army encampment, with the troops mistakenly believing that the Demon Elders were there to help them until they realized that the Elders were attacking them, proclaiming them to be impostors. After Anos defeated the army, the Avos-controlled Demon Elders came out to fight them, with Anos moving to face Avos while Anos' Demon Elders faced their controlled colleagues. Anos' Elders were able to swiftly defeat them since the sources controlling the Elders abandoned their bodies.
Great Spirit Arc[]
The Seven Demon Elders signed a Zecht to legitimize Anos' claim of being the reincarnated Demon King of Tyranny. They were preparing a grand ceremony that would globally reveal the truth about Anos' reincarnation and his ascendency as the true Demon King of Tyranny. However, Melheis was attacked and killed by Zeke Ozma, the staff officer of the Conflagration King's army, although Anos was able to revive him. Due to being potential targets of attack, Anos ordered the Elders to go into hiding and delayed the broadcast that would reveal that Avos Dilhevia wasn't real.
When the Great Spirit Avos Dilhevia awakened, she was able to take control of all of the Demon Elders, as her spirit powers allowed her to exert influence over anything associated in legend with the Demon King of Tyranny. With the Demon Elders being the most famed of the Demon King's subordinates, she summoned them when she began to broadcast her ascendency across Dilhade to strengthen her lore in order to prevent her disappearance. When Anos sent a projection to Delgade to confront Avos about her origins, the Elders attacked it with their magic, destroying it.
After Anos and his comrades returned to the present from their time-travel reconnaissance mission, the brainwashed Melheis began broadcasting across Midhaze, warning the misfit that he would begin executing the hybrid students if Anos failed to show himself. Melheis began preparations to execute a hybrid student, but was betrayed by Nihid, who revealed himself to be a reincarnation of Anos' subordinate Devidra, as the fact that he was a reincarnated individual made him escape the influence of Avos' spirit powers and Demera. Meheis fought against Devidra and Igareth Ijeiska, while the other Demon Elders contended against the other students, who were also revealed to be reincarnations of Anos' subordinates. With the battle distracting them, they were caught off guard and turned into ice cats by Misha's Magic Eyes of Creation. After Avos Dilhevia was defeated, her control over the Demon Elders was lifted and they returned to their senses, becoming Anos' subordinates once again.
With the confusion caused by the appearance of the Great Spirit Avos Dilhevia, Anos had the Elders organize the Demon King Reordination Ceremony, where Anos was revealed as the true reincarnation of the Demon King of Tyranny, as they knelt in fealty when Anos made his appearance. After Anos made his decree about the new equality between all races in Dilhade, the Demon Elders acknowledged it, as it was eventually enshrined into the laws of the demon realm.
Influence[]
As the direct subordinates of the Demon King of Tyranny, the Seven Demon Elders held considerable power in Dilhade. Their names commanded respect and honor, with many looking upon them, as their influence was second only to their creator and master, the Demon King of Tyranny.
Abilities[]
- Great Magic Power: As demons from the Mythical Age, their magic powers are very high compared to demons from the modern Magical Age and are considered to be the most powerful demons of the Magical Age. Yet, according to Anos, they are not among the most powerful demons from the Mythical Age[1], as proven when Melheis Boran, the leader of the Seven Demon Elders, was effortlessly killed by Zeke Ozma, one of the Four Evil Kings' right-hand man.[2]
Trivia[]
- All Seven Demon Elders agreed to fuse their sources with Kanon's, except Melheis because Kanon had no reserve sources left.
