Synopsis[]
Selection Trial Arc[]
Ahid used his Selection Pledge Jewel to summon Arcana and have her attack Anos. Later, when Anos made his way to Everastanzetta, Arcana created a Selection Pledge Jewel for Anos, since his own Selection God had yet to grant him one. Gazel challenged Anos to a battle between Selected, as he tried to use his Selection Pledge Jewel to summon his god, but Anos incinerated him before he could complete his chant. Despite this, his Selection Pledge Jewel remained intact, as Gazel succeeded in summoning the Keeper of Restoration Nutra Do Hiana, who restored him to life. After Gazel was defeated by Anos and had all of his gods destroyed by Anos, Arcana appeared and stole Gazel's Selection Pledge Jewel under Ahid' commands, as she absorbed all of the orders of the destroyed gods. In the aftermath of Ahid's loss to Anos, Arcana renounced her pact with Ahid and became Anos' Selection God, as Anos became capable of summoning her with the aid of his Selection Pledge Jewel.

Abilities[]
- Vessel: The Selection Pledge Jewel serves as an auxiliary container for the user, as using the summoning magic of the the Underground World required space in the source. Using summoning magic filled the empty space of a source — the unfilled void — not with magic, but with the pact made with a deity and the spell formula used to summon them. Most people didn’t have such space in their source, so they used the pledge jewel ring as a vessel instead. The more pacts formed and the more summonings made, the less space there was in the vessel. If the limit of the vessel was reached, the gemstone would shatter.[1] The Selection Pledge Jewels have a much larger internal capacity than ordinary Pledge Jewels, and therefore, the Selected Eight can make pacts with several gods at once and summon them at the same time, in addition to their Selection God.[2]
- Order Preservation: The Selection pledge jewels are part of the order of the Selection Trial, and therefore, even in the event of a god's destruction, its source along with its order is preserved inside the of the jewel of the ring until the end of the Selection Trial, where a winner is determined among the Selected Eight, who will become the divine proxy and replenish all the lost gods and orders.[3]
- Control: By pouring magical power into the pledge jewel, the user can control the creatures they have summoned, including even gods, and force them to follow their instructions.[4]
- Summoning: The pledge jewels were spread through the Underground World in the aftermath of the first Selection Trial, as due to the divine order that accompanies the summoning magic of the Underground World, it is much more powerful then the summoning magic used by the inhabitants of the aboveground world. By using the pledge jewels, the user can summon dragons, gods or other powerful being that they have made a pact with. The summoning magic used is unique in that doesn’t rely on how much magic one has, but the size of one’s vessel or rather their source. This means that even users with a low among of magic power can use the pledge jewel, provided they have a suitable vessel.[1]
