The Selection Gods (選定の神, Sentei no Kami^?) refers to gods that have each chosen a particular mortal to be a representative in the Selection Trial.

Characteristics

The Selection Gods came into existence after the Selection Trial was established, as due to the effects of order of the judgment, any god could become a Selection God by choosing a mortal that they believe is worthy of ascending to divinity and becoming a divine proxy. If all of them deem a particular mortal worthy, then they can ascend to godhood, but a Selection God will rarely deem anyone other than their Selected as worthy, so it becomes a fight to the death until one of them remains.

After concluding a pact, the Selection God creates a Selection Pledge Jewel, which allows their chosen mortal to summon them to fight on their behalf. While it is possible for gods to be destroyed during the holy wars, the Selection Gods involved in the Selection Trial cannot perish; thus, their order cannot be lost. The pact made with the Selection pledge jewel maintains their order. Selection Gods gain the ability to absorb the orders of the defeated gods, which are sealed inside of the Selection pledge jewel. In addition, the gods that perish in the Selection Trial can't be resurrected until the trial ends, and the choice of who becomes the divine proxy is decided.

• Gods that nominate a candidate for the Selection Trial gain another order besides their own. This order gives them the right to become Selection Gods.
• For the duration of the Selection Trial, Selection Gods cannot return to the Divine Realm.
