Revalschned (リーバルシュネッド Rībarushuneddo?) is the God of Traces (痕跡神 Konseki-Shin?).

Appearance[]

Revalschned has the appearance of a god in majestic robes who holds a white book in his hand.

Personality[]

Revalschned didn't show much personality besides following Golroana's orders, as per their pact. However, he was gracious during his debut, as he was willing to grant Arcana's request and even warn her about what this entailed.

History[]

For 1,500 years, Revalschned has worked with generations of popes to create a world without borders and equality for all. For this reason, they resurrected the deceased Divine Dragon and transformed it into Beherom, a spell that would blast away the underground dome and turn it into the new sky. Rain will finally touch the Underground World and revitalize the land, while the people from the surface will be forced to live alongside the draconids.[2]

The pact between the Popes of Jiordal and Revalschned was passed down until Golroana Delo Jiordal's reign, when the spell would finally be ready.[2]

Synopsis[]

Jiordal, Kingdom of the Divine Dragon Arc[]

To recover their missing memories, Anos and Arcana travel to the underground ruins of Ligalondrol, where the God of Traces slumbers. When they reach his chamber, Arcana uses the Order of Dreams to make Revalschned dream and enters it. After introducing himself and listening to their request, Revalschned warns Arcana that her memories will bring her pain and that she would be better off forgetting. However, the sin she committed belongs to her, and she wishes to accept it. The group is then interrupted by Ceris Voldigoad, so Anos leaves the gods alone while he deals with Ceris. While they fight, Arcana awakens Revalschned and lets him escape.

EP24-3 (II)

Anos confronts Revalschned and Golroana.

Anos later returns to Ligalondrol after realizing Pope Golroana's plan, but he is brought inside the Land of Traces, where he finds Revalschned and the pope. Anos offers Golroana another way of achieving true equality, but Golroana rejects him and is killed as a result. However, neither Golroana nor Revalschned can be destroyed while inside the Land of Traces, where traces of everything, including their persons, exist. The pope is then resurrected by Revalschned, who attacks Anos with a past copy of Evansmana, wounding his source multiple times. Anos eventually catches his sword and kills him, as his sword skills are a poor imitation of Lay's. However, the God of Traces simply revives as if nothing happened.

This causes Anos to target the Land of Traces instead and fire Egil Grone Angdroa. Unfortunately, Revalschned turns the doomsday spell against Anos and puts him on the edge of death. However, this only empowers his Source of Destruction, allowing Anos to overcome his death. The Demon King then reveals his newly developed spell, Gilieriam Naviem. With each step he takes, large quantities of traces are destroyed and then replaced by new ones of the destruction he caused. These new traces are so great in magnitude that the Land of Traces eventually breaks down. They return to the real world, but it's already too late, as the song of the Divine Dragon was fired during their fight.

In response, Anos summons Venuzdonoa so Arcana can transform it into Leviangilma and make the dome eternally unchangeable. He then offers to spare Golroana in exchange for helping Arcana recover her memories, but the pope reveals that Arcana has already recovered them when they first met Revalschned and was lying to him because she is actually Genedonov, the Goddess of Absurdity. Despite this revelation, Anos chooses to believe in his little sister, causing Revalschned to attack him. Leviangilma then comes to Anos' side, allowing him to finally destroy the God of Traces, who leaves the Book of Traces for Golroana as his order is absorbed into his Selection Pledge Jewel.

Abilities[]

  • Immense Magic Power: As a god, he possesses immense magic power, having a near bottomless magic pool that can only be used up when doing something of extraordinary magnitude.
  • Conceptual Existence: Gods maintain and embody the order and laws of the world.[3]
  • Book of Traces: As the God of Traces, Revalschned possesses the ability to recreate "traces" of the world, which take the form of white books and can include anything from objects to magic. He demonstrated the ability to recreate Evansmana, as well as Egil Grone Angdroa. And so long as these traces exist, Revalschned (and his contractor) can be restored.
    • Land of Traces: Revalschned's divine domain, which serves as a library for all the traces of the past. It is an endless wasteland with bookshelves extending into the horizon. Records of the entire world and its 700 million years of existence can fit inside the Land of Traces, and even then, it could hold a hundred times more with ease. To destroy it, Anos left traces of destruction that were greater than 70 billion years worth of history.[4]
    • Skill Mimicry: By using his order, Revalschned was able of recreating Lay's experience and skill with Evansmana. However, he could only recreate Lay's past skill, which was incomparable to the real thing, as Lay was constantly honing his skills with the sword, thus transcending the past.[4]
    • Origin Magic Negation and Vulnerability: Because origin magic borrows magic from an older entity to activate, it cannot hurt the being or artifact it borrows from. However, Revalschned can manipulate it as he sees fit due to being the god of the past. He can erase the borrowed magic to cancel its activation or harm the origin that would normally be protected. He was able to harm Anos with his own Egil Grone Angdroa, even though he used himself from 2,000 years ago as the origin.[4]
