Reincarnation World Militia (転生世界ミリティア Tensei Sekai Miritia?) is the world created by the Goddess of Creation Militia, and it served as the main setting of the series until the Silver Water Holy Sea Arc.
History[]
Creation[]
Before this world, there was the world created by the Goddess of Creation Elenesia. When she passed away, her daughter and successor, Militia, created another world in its place. Like most bubble worlds, the world was enveloped in constant conflict due to lacking a Conformist to lead the world on the proper evolutionary path and a Chief God, who would prevent Fire Dew from leaking out from the world.
Militia observed the world she had created and was saddened by the chaos and strife that plagued it and its inhabitants. Because her role was over with the world's creation, she could only continue to watch and share the people's grief as a self-imposed punishment for creating an unkind world. Meanwhile, her sister Abernyu was saddened by her role as the Goddess of Destruction and wished to be free from destroying others for the sake of providence.
Mythical Age[]
Since time immemorial, the human and demon races have always been fighting in order to destroy each other. But the demons were uncoordinated in their battle against humanity, as they were plagued by constant infighting to see who would become the ruler of their race. Afraid of what they could do united, the humans continued to pit the various leaders from Dilhade against each other, diminishing the war potential of the demons.
Ceris Voldigoad, leader of the Phantom Knights, an order of powerful demons who sought to end the war, saw through their plans and moved to stop them. His wife, Luna Arzenon, was eventually killed by a squad of humans and the misfit Graham, though not before giving birth to their son, Anos Voldigoad. Fearing that his son would be targeted for his incredible potential and his ability to unify the demons, Ceris left Anos and began working from the shadows to eliminate anyone who could pose a threat to his rise as the ruler of the demons.
Over the course of several years, Anos grew up to become a powerful demon and amassed an army of loyal followers, crushing any demon who opposed him. Anos then led his demon followers in the Great War against humanity and the spirits and gods who supported them.
Great War[]
Anos encountered the Hero Kanon, wielder of the legendary sword Evansmana, which possessed the power to kill him. The two continued to meet and battle throughout the war, gaining mutual respect for each other. During that time, Militia deemed Anos a valuable ally in her quest to bring peace to the world and descended upon the earth to talk with him. When Anos inquired about the gods, she explained that gods were the embodiments of order and didn't feel emotions. Militia also told him about her sister, whom she never met.
Anos eventually led his army to the Sun of Destruction in an attempt to corrupt it and prevent more people from dying, befriending Abernyu in the process. Tired of her role as the destroyer, she allowed Anos to turn her body into the Demon Castle Delsgade and her Order into the Venuzdonoa, the Abolisher of Reason. He then used Venuzdonoa to split her consciousness from Delsgade, allowing her to reincarnate in the future.
Meanwhile, the Sorcerer King Bomiras Heros lost his life to Ceris and his Phantom Knights, with his territory becoming the battleground for various demons trying to take his place. Anos was the first to arrive in Midhaze and built Delsgade there, later defeating the other demons and their armies. With half of Dilhade in his control, Anos effectively became the nation's ruler. At the same time, the order of the Phantom Knights was wiped out by Graham. Ceris was killed and had his head taken by Graham, who wore it as his own to increase his magic power and assume Ceris' identity.
Anos began preparations to end the war and created the Seven Demon Elders. He then gathered the Hero, the Great Spirit, and the God of Creation in Delsgade, where they combined their powers to create the Beno Ievun to isolate the four races from each other, which would extinguish the seeds of conflict and allow the races to co-exist after the wall came down. Unable to withstand the enormous magic power, he lost his body and began reincarnating, signaling the end of the war.[3]
Post-War[]
Afraid that humans would lose their hatred with time, Commander Jerga of the Demon King Subjugation Battalion created the Hero Academy to indoctrinate future generations into hating demons. Kanon, who pleaded with Jerga to stop, was betrayed and killed by Jerga's soldiers. Jerga then gave his source to the Heavenly Father God, Nosgalia, who split it to create spells that would be used to destroy the reincarnated Demon King. However, Militia interfered with him, causing the magic of Eleonore to be born without any hatred for demons.
After resurrecting, Kanon, who was unable to raise his sword against his people, decided to create a scapegoat for the humans' hatred instead. With the support of the Seven Demon Elders, who allowed him to erase their memories and fuse his sources with theirs, Kanon was able to reshape demon society and spread the rumors of the fictional Demon King Avos Dilhevia throughout the world. Due to the short lifespan of humans, Kanon would reincarnate many times.
Realizing that the peace achieved was built upon a fragile balance that could collapse at any moment, Militia created Ennesuone in an attempt to create a more permanent peace. However, because this went against her own order and because Beno Ievun blocked her path, Militia was left unable to return to the Azure Sky of the Gods. Despite this, she was able to send Ennesuone there in the hope that she could be born with the assistance of her best friend — the Goddess of Birth Wenzel.
At the same time, Nosgalia continued to plot against Anos and the release of Abernyu from Delsgade. Taking advantage of the love between the Great Spirit Reno and Shin Reglia, Nosgalia "blessed" the couple to conceive the "Child of God" and made the baby embody the legends of Avos Dilhevia. However, Reno sent her child into the future to escape Nosgalia's influence before disappearing due to violating her own legends. Shin would take over as the leader of the spirits in Reno's absence and become the Spirit King.
Furthermore, Militia created the Underground World, which could support life beneath the earth. Two countries were eventually formed, Jiordal and Agatha, which constantly fought over religious differences. The Selection Trial was first held there, with Militia choosing a young girl named Arcana to be her candidate and paving the way for her to become a divine proxy. However, Militia's true goal was to end the Selection Trial for the good of the mortals. Arcana, who saw this as betrayal, killed her after being manipulated by a knight of Agatha named Boldinos. Before dying, Militia split her body and consciousness, transforming it into Everastanzetta, Institute of the Gods, and using Syrica to reincarnate.
Arcana obtained Militia's order and took the name of Genudunub, the Goddess of Absurdity. She then created the country of Gadeciola and made Boldinos its overlord to wage war on Agatha, Jiordal, and the gods. However, she discovered Boldinos' betrayal and tried to fight him, but she failed and was eventually reborn after being killed by him.
Magical Age[]
As the centuries passed, hostility between all the races disappeared; with Beno Ievun dissipating 1000 years after its creation, allowing the races to intermingle. Due to the lack of conflict, the residents of the new world became weak, and the world's magical potential deteriorated as a result.
2,000 years after the Great War, Anos reincarnates as the child of a human couple. Growing up with the aid of magic, he begins attending the Demon King Academy and befriends various students there: Misha Necron, Sasha Necron, Misa Iliorogue and Lay Grandsley. These four would become his close friends and subordinates.
During an academy exchange with Azesion's Hero Academy, Anos witnesses the humans' hatred of demons firsthand, which hadn't completely disappeared with time as initially thought. The war between demons and humans would begin anew when Avos Dilhevia stole the legendary sword Evansmana, causing the Hero Academy to declare war against the demon nation of Dilhade. Confronting Avos alone, Anos discovers that the person behind the mask is none other than Lay, who is also Kanon's reincarnation. He promoted the war so he could sacrifice himself as Avos Dilhevia, ending humanity's hatred once and for all. The true master behind humanity's hatred; Jerga, would eventually appear, causing Anos and Lay to team up together and defeat him.
After the war was averted, Anos' next challenge came in the form of Nosgalia, who sought to eliminate him and revive Abernyu with the help of the "Child of God". This mysterious figure was eventually revealed to be Misa, who was also the spirit that embodied the legends of Avos Dilhevia. After Nosgalia awakens her Avos side, Misa takes Venuzdonoa from Anos and attempts to kill him. After her defeat, Anos adds to the legends of the Demon King of Tyranny to reincarnate Misa as a pure spirit and make her the dominant personality.
During a field trip to Gairadite, Anos meets Arcana and Ahid Alovo Agartz, a priest of Jiordal who was seeking to subjugate Azesion at the request of its king, Lycius Engelo Gairadite. He defeats Ahid and convinces Arcana to join him. Now aware of the Underground World and wanting answers, Anos heads to Jiordal to obtain the cooperation of Revalschned, God of Traces. When the Underground World's heavenly dome began to collapse, Anos joined forces with the leaders of the underground countries to create a new Heaven Pillars Support Sword by transforming the feelings of the underground inhabitants via La Sencia.
Learning that Militia was keeping his lost memories in artifacts called the Stars of Creation Erial, Anos and his group set out to find them. He learns that his real father was killed by Graham, who was waiting to fight Anos. Graham revealed that the being inside Veaflare's womb would be his grand experiment. While initially appearing evenly matched, Anos was able to defeat Graham by locking away his source inside of his own source, where Graham would be destroyed in the next several millennia.
Rebirth of the World[]
While investigating Sasha's memories about her true identity as Abernyu's reincarnation, the God of War Pelpedro and his army of gods attack Anos and his group, but they are repelled and sent back to the God Gate where they came from. Investigating the gate in Delsgade, Anos and his group end up at the Azure Sky of the Gods, where they meet Ennesuone and Wenzel. Wenzel explains that Ennesuone was an order that Militia created for the world to be kinder, but she wasn't born yet as the other gods hated her, so Anos helps Ennesuone to be born as Militia intended. Misha is then revealed to be Militia's reincarnation, who was planning to sacrifice herself to recreate the world into a kinder one.
However, during the commotion, Delsgade and Everastoanzetta are somehow taken away by an unknown entity. Pursuing the stolen castles, Anos' group discovers the existence of the supposed King of the Gods; the God of Gears Equis, who was created with Graham' assistance and was behind most of the world's misfortunes. He was able to take control of Misha and Sasha as they tried to take back the castles by merging with them to recreate their divine bodies, giving Equis the ability to resurrect Militia and Abernyu as his servants. But through the efforts of everyone on earth, Misha and Sasha were able to reassert control over themselves and help Anos and Lay defeat Equis.
As the world was approaching its own destruction, Anos and his group tried to find a solution to save it. Since both Misha and Sasha were able to exist simultaneously at the same time, Misha was able to use a variation of Lunar Eclipse of Genesis: the spell Al Ant Eltonoa, without being destroyed, supplementing the missing power with the help of La Sencia as well as the "Gear of Fate" used by Equis. With the power of the Goddess of Creation, Misha is able to recreate the world into one guided by love and kindness, with all of the destroyed gods being resurrected and having their orders changed to be accompanied by love and kindness.
Characteristics[]
The Reincarnation World Militia is considered an imperfect world because it follows a different evolutionary path than the other Small Worlds of the Silver Water Holy Sea. Even though its Chief God was stripped of his power, the world managed to evolve and gain access to the Silver Sea. However, the Militia World is still considered a bubble world by the members of Silver Water Academy Pablohetara due to its unorthodox evolution. Because of this, a lot of Pablohetara's members believe that the Militia World is destined to be destroyed because of the Chief God's absence, though Anos disputes this. Unlike other bubble worlds, the Fire Dew of the Militia World does not leak out to the deep worlds.
Militia World does not contain a limited order or a particular trait that the world specializes in due to its imperfect nature. However, the unique aspect of the Militia World is its possession of the limited magic Syrica, which allows a person to reincarnate. Unlike other methods of reincarnation that exist in the Silver Sea (which endanger the source), Syrica allows for a skilled magician to inherit all of their powers, abilities, and memories in a new life if the user is skilled enough or awakens them at a fraction if they are not. However, people like the Holy King Lebrahard Heinriel believe it only creates a new life that merely possesses the same powers, abilities, and memories as the person it is used on.
While lacking a traditional world order, the imperfect nature of the Militia World allows it to use the magic of Drum and Zels to amplify the power of their magic and weapons attacks without the use of Fire Dew like other worlds need, only requiring the use of a larger amount of magic power to utilize them.
