Lignon (リニヨン, Riniyon^?) is the Great Water Spirit (水の大精霊, Mizu no Dai Seirei^?) and the guardian of Aharthern.

Appearance

Lignon's true form is an eight-headed water dragon, while its transient form resembles a young girl with lavender hair and violet-colored eyes.

History

Lignon was born from the legend about the tears of God, which poured into the Great Spirit Forest Aharthern and were the very first drops that brought water to this world.

When Anos and his army invaded Aharthern, Lignon was able to wipe out half his army before being defeated by Shin with a single blow.

After Reno went to Delsgade and Anos sacrificed himself to separate the world, Aharthern was invaded by the divine beast Guen. Lignon attempted to defend the Great Spirit Forest and battled them but was defeated. Afterwards, she was able to recover and witness the final moment of the Great War Tree Migelonov, as the tree spirit disappeared due to violating her lore. She also participated in the tag game between the spirits and Shin, though she was easily caught by him.

Lignon attended Reno and Shin's wedding as she shot up jets of water into the corridor of clouds, forming several arches over the flower path, which served as a blessing.

Synopsis

Great Spirit Arc

During Shin Reglia's battle against Nosgalia, the newly-revived Reno summoned various spirits to help her husband, with Lignon being one of them, as she assisted him by neutralizing his divine flames with her water powers. Angered, Nosgalia retaliated by having his golden flames coil around the eight-headed water dragon, its divine power evaporating her water. However, her wounds were healed by Cenetello. When Reno used Alha Alfrem, Lignon was one of the spirits that imbued her abilities into Shin, allowing him to enhance his blades with her power to more easily cut down his divine flames.

• Immense Magic Power: As a great spirit, Lignon possesses vast magic power. She was easily able to defeat Anos' army with a single water breath, except Anos and Shin.
• Water Manipulation: Due to being the Great Water Spirit, Lignon possesses the ability to manipulate water, which is amplified in her true form. Her water powers were shown to be potent enough to quench Nosgalia's divine flames.
