Adaptation Notes[]
Differences from the web novel:
- The chapter "Book Fairies" is extended in the light novel. Anos suggests numerous ways of studying to Sasha: one is using Teles, a spell that is never mentioned in the web novel, to engrave knowledge directly into her head, and another method is using Rivide to control her time and prolong her memory.[1]
- Grysilis' test score was changed from 97 to 80, as he rushed his test to catch up with Anos, who turned in his test very early. The light novel further adds Ennunien's remark that Grysilis usually performs the best, so he should pick up the slack next time. As a result, the line about Grysilis' grinning face was changed to a humiliated face.[2]
- The chapter "The Demon King's Answers" ends with Anos revealing how Grysilis tampered with his subordinates' tests. In the web novel, this was shown in the following chapter, "Staircases of Guniel".[2]
