Jiordal, Kingdom of the Divine Dragon (神竜の国 ジオルダル Shinryū no Kuni Jiorudaru?) is one of the three major kingdoms that exist in the Underground World. Their guardian dragon is the Divine Dragon, which acts as the cornerstone of their religion.
History[]
Since the kingdom's founding, the song of the Divine Dragon has resounded throughout Jiordal. However, only the generations of popes and the gods they made pacts with have seen the dragon.[2]
According to legends, the goddess Genedonov introduced the Pledge Jewels to the people of Jiordal after winning the very first Selection Trial, allowing them to flourish in the harsh conditions of the underground world. But Genedonov soon betrayed Jiordal and took half the pledge jewels to Agatha, where she was originally from, as she was deceiving the Pope all this time. As a result, Jiordal went to war with the newly empowered Agatha, and many lives were lost.[3]
Exhausted from fighting, both nations agreed to a ceasefire and peace prevailed for some time. However, Genedonov eventually betrayed Agatha as well, and even the gods themselves before creating the kingdom of heretics, Gadeciola.[3] Since then, the three nations established themselves as major powers in the underground world, which are in conflict with each other due to religious differences.

Information[]
Society[]
The Church of Jiordal governs the kingdom, with Pope Golroana at the top. Musical arts and religion are prominent here, and travelers are especially welcomed due to the Rite of Sacred Song.
Culture[]
One of the most sacred rituals in Jiordal is the Rite of Sacred Song, which is held every one hundred days. During the festival, a ceremonial hymn sung by pilgrims from afar is offered to the gods in prayer for prosperity. This song is called the Sojourner's Psalm.[4]
Notable Places[]
Jiorhaze[]
The capital of Jiordal, and a large city surrounded by walls. Domesticated dragons could be seen around, most likely used by pilgrims visiting the capital.[2] It contains many streets, shops, stalls, and churches dedicated to the gods they worshipped.[5] The Jiordal Cathedral, the residence of Pope Golroana Delo Jiordal, is also here.
The Rite of Sacred Song is held across Jiorhaze, but the Sojourner's Psalm is sung on the sacred grounds of the Divine Dragon. The location looks like a raised square, with a bonfire lit on top of a dragon bone pillar.[4] There were also other locations with their own bonfires and hymns.
Ligalondrol[]
Underground ruins located two hundred kilometers west of Jiorhaze and the sleeping ground of Revalschned, the God of Traces.[6] The ruins don't exist in the present anymore and can only be accessed from the past (or by turning back time locally).[7]
Because Revalschned takes the form of a pool of water while asleep, his chambers look like a vast space where the floor is covered by a shallow pool of blue water and the walls are lined with waterfalls flowing in reverse.[8]
