The selective class Jerga-Kanon (ジェルガ ・ カノン Jeruga Kanon?) is a special class within the Hero Academy that is meant for reincarnated heroes, as it contains various reincarnations of famous heroes from the past ages.

History[]

After the founding the Hero Academy, Jerga and his supporters lured Kanon into a trap and seemingly killed him in a way that would prevent his resurrection, as they had the incident covered up. Afterwards, Jerga gave his source to Nosgalia to create the magic spells: Jerga and Eleonore. The heroes of the time chose one source to serve as template for the source clone army that Eleonore would create, with Eleonore being forced to create an army of Zeshia clones. Eventually, the Hero Academy higher-ups decided to try to legitimize their cause, as they picked a number of reincarnated students of the Hero Academy and falsely lead them to believe that they were in fact the reincarnations of Kanon's sources, thus being his successors.

Great Spirit Arc[]

Ledriano, Heine, and Raos came to Dilhade to warn Eleonore about a relic left by Jerga, a past version of Aske, as they in hopes that they could dispose of it. However, before they could meet up with Eleonore and Zeshia, they were ambushed by Zabro Gaze, who incapacitated them with poison magic. He then used Goa Grum to turn them into ghouls, ordering them to attack the two girls. They were returned to normal after Eleonore defeated Zabro and used Teo Ingall to cleanse their sources of the corruption.

Trivia[]

  • Jerga-Kanon was named after two famous heroes: Jerga, the King of Gairadite and his student, Kanon, the Hero of Legend.[1]
  • After the revelation that Lay Grandsley was the true reincarnation of Hero Kanon, and that the Hero Kanon reincarnations of Jerga-Kanon were in fact impostors, the reincarnations were stripped of the name "Kanon" and became recognized as normal reincarnated individuals.
