Demon Swords[]
Demon Sword Zephrid[](魔剣ゼフリード, Maken Zefurīdo) An heirloom passed down in the Indu family. It is said to be an artifact from the Mythical Age, born from ancient flames, and whose flames would burn until the end of the world. It has the ability to increase its wielder's magic power tenfold. Upon seeing it, Anos concludes that the sword was not a real artifact from the Mythical Age. He said, "A twig lying on the floor in the Mythical Age would have held more power." A real demon sword would have a will of its own and magic power so great that it would overwhelm its wielder.[1] |
Demon Sword Gadol[](魔剣ガドル, Maken Gadoru) A demon sword as black as the night that inflicts wounds that cannot be healed. It is an artifact from the Mythical Age that effortlessly tore through Anos' anti-magic barriers and flesh.[2] |
Venuzdonoa, the Abolisher of Reason[](理滅剣ヴェヌズドノア, Rimetsuken Venuzudonoa) The demon sword of Anos Voldigoad, which can destroy anything that exists, even reason itself. |
Demon Sword Initio[](魔剣イニーティオ, Maken Inītio) A pure-white demon sword that can slip past magic and cut through their spell formulas, thus nullifying them. The wounds inflicted by Initio do not heal easily because the magic disabling effect of the sword will linger for some time, preventing the use of healing magic because their formulas will be destroyed.[3] Although Initio is a good demon sword, it is not very powerful by itself because it depends on its wielder's skills to cut through formulas. Furthermore, the sharpness of the blade itself is mediocre. In Lay's hands, however, it becomes a fearsome weapon that can defeat both offensive and defensive magic due to his expert swordsmanship.[4] Lay was also able to lend Initio to Misa and make her the wielder by subjugating the sword and connecting his magic with her using Gyze.[5] Initio was later destroyed during Lay's duel with Anos in the Demon Sword Tournament. |
Supreme Demon Sword Grajetian[](極大魔剣グラジェシオン, Kyokudai Maken Gurajeshion) A colossal demon sword that is three times as tall as Gaios Anzem. The sword was able to split the Neir Mountains in half, but it snapped after striking Anos's head.[6] It was repaired by the time of Melheis Boran's ambush during the Demon Sword Tournament.[3] |
Demon Sword of Fire Zeth[](炎の魔剣ゼス, Honō no Maken Zesu) A demon sword that turns the target to ashes with just a scratch. When Zeth reveals its true form, flames rise from its blade. It was shattered alongside Ides during Ydol Anzeo's battle against Lay,[7] but was repaired by the time of Melheis Boran's ambush during the Demon Sword Tournament.[3] |
Demon Sword of Ice Ides[](氷の魔剣イデス, Kōri no Maken Idesu) A demon sword that freezes the target with just a scratch. When Ides reveals its true form, its blade frosts over. It was shattered alongside Ides during Ydol Anzeo's battle against Lay,[7] but was repaired by the time of Melheis Boran's ambush during the Demon Sword Tournament.[3] |
Demon Sword of Water Eisias[](水の魔剣エイシアス, Mizu no Maken Eishiasu) A demon sword of water without a fixed form that cannot be destroyed, even by other demon swords. However, its cutting ability is still fearsome. Its blade is transparent, with an edge undulating like flowing water. Kurt's secret technique is Aquafang Rapid Strike, which divides the sword into countless blades of water, attacking the enemy from every direction. Kurt also had a hidden art[† 1] which he could not use in the Demon Sword Tournament because Anos defeated him and destroyed his sword before he could unleash it.[8] |
Gale Blade Leflecia[](風の魔剣レフレシア, Kaze no Maken Refureshia) A wind-cloaked demon sword that disperses into a swift wind when removed from its sheath.[9] It was destroyed by Lay during the second match of round one of Dilhade's Demon Sword Tournament. |
Demon Sword Pact[](契約の魔剣, Keiyaku no Maken) A magic item that is planted onto a target's source. It will activate and destroy their source under specific conditions. It is harder to break than Zecht, and doing so would destroy the target's source. In Lay's case, the sword pact embedded in him would destroy his source if he told Anos about his sword pact or if he refused to fight Anos in the Demon Sword Tournament. [10] |
Demon Sword Shackle[](隷属の魔剣, Reizoku no Maken) A magic item that takes absolute control of its bearer, including their thoughts. A demon sword shackle was implanted in Melheis Boran's brain, forcing him to obey and turn against Anos.[11] |
Ceremonial Demon Sword[](記念品の魔剣, Kinenhin no Maken) A sword that is awarded to the winner of the Demon Sword Tournament, as Anos obtained it after defeating Lay in the final match of the tournament. It was awarded to him by Sasha, who acted as the presenter due to her distinguished background as a direct descendant of one of the Demon Elders. Anos displays it at home but later used it as his sword during the Demon King Reordination Ceremony. |
Siegsesta, the Sword of Intent[](一意剣シグシェスタ, Ichiiken Shigushesuta) A demon sword with a silver blade that transforms depending on its wielder's thoughts. However, it cannot slice anything unless the wielder completely focuses on their mind, heart, body, and magic. Even one stray thought or distraction and the sword will fail to reach its true potential. Because the sword changes at the will of its wielder, the former owner's feelings and memories may be contained within it, and resonate with its former owner's source if they ever reclaim the sword.[12] Since the sword responds to the user's wishes, a proficient user such as Lay can also will Siegsesta to release holy magic.[13]
|

Gilionojes, the Pillage Blade[](略奪剣ギリオノジェス, Ryakudatsuken Girionojesu) A cursed demon sword that steals the function of whatever it cuts. It plunders voice from a slashed throat, vision from slashed eyes, and life from a slashed heart. Even when the wound heals, what has been stolen will never return.[16] However, a skilled opponent can evade the Pillage Blade's ability to rob them even when slashed.[17] Also, the wielder can return the stolen functions by slashing at the same target again.[18]
|
Gabreid, the Anti-Magic Sword[](反魔剣ガブレイド, Hanmaken Gabureido) A demon sword that can cut through spell formulas, just like Initio, but it contains far more magic power.[20] It was able to destroy Anos' origin spell Rivide. Two of Zeke's allies also carried copies of Gabreid.[21] |
Garmest, the Freeform Sword[](自在剣ガーメスト, Jizaiken Gāmesuto) A demon sword that can freely change its shape, material, and color according to its user's wishes.[22] It can switch from a one-handed sword to a two-handed sword or even a shield. Also, the number of Freeform Swords is also "free", meaning that multiple copies can exist and be used simultaneously. |
Gydrest, the Death Strike Sword[](死突剣ギードレスト, Shitotsuken Gīdoresuto) A demon sword with a blade designed strictly for piercing enemies that radiates ominous magic honed for killing sources. The sword was forged after Demon King Anos's reincarnation to kill his subordinates. Anos would be unable to use Agronemt because he had never seen the sword before.[21] Another two of Zeke's allies also carried copies of Gydrest. |

While the demon sword that continued to slay the gods gradually gained a mind of its own, Shin Reglia's wielder realized that he was approaching his limits and that it was impossible to fully destroy the gods. He decided to give all of his power to Shin Reglia, believing that one day, someone would use the demon sword to destroy the gods in his stead. Then the body of Shin Reglia's wielder disappeared, and Shin Reglia obtained a demon body and became the Shin Reglia of the present.[26] |

As a result of the connection made via Gyze, the Two Laws Sword acts as a second vessel for Anos, capable of containing and controlling an enormous amount of destructive power from his source. A normal vessel would immediately perish, but because the body of the Two Laws Usurper is extraordinarily tough, it can contain an enormous amount of Anos' destructive power. Therefore, it has extraordinary attack power. With this weapon, it is possible to land an attack that should've been impossible by distorting reality into making the attack that originally missed land.
