Holy Sword World Hayfolia (聖剣世界ハイフォリア Seiken Sekai Haiforia?) is a Silver Bubble located in the deep layer.
History[]
Early Days of Hayfolia[]
Like many worlds, Hayfolia started off as a Bubble World before eventually becoming a Silver Bubble due to the birth of its Chief God, the Blessed Lady Eife. Because of her divine power over blessings and the world's affinity towards holy swords, Hayfolia became known as the Holy Sword World. At some point, Ordov Heinriel became the world's Sovereign and went to explore the Silver Sea, where he interacted with various worlds, including the Blacksmith World Bardilua. Ordov befriended its Sovereign, Bellamy Standad, who became his close friend. Afterward, Hayfolia would incorporate various worlds into its fold by convincing them and blessing them with Eife's divine power.
War with Evezeino[]
Eventually, Hayfolia encountered the Disaster Abyss World Evezeino, a world whose orders and way of existence conflicted with theirs. The Phantom Beasts of Evezeino preyed on Hayfolia's inhabitants and the strongest Phantom Beast, the Lion of Destruction, laid waste to various worlds in the Silver Sea. Unable to overlook their actions, Hayfolia declared war against Evezeino and the two fought endlessly. However, Hayfolia lacked the necessary power to slay the lion. When Evezeino invaded the Water Calculation World Sailaina, Hayfolia and its allies moved to defend Sailaina. In order to end the threat that is the Lion of Destruction, Hayfolia, Bardilua, and Sailaina joined forces to create a weapon powerful enough to destroy the phantom beasts permanently. With their combined effort, they created the legendary holy sword: Evansmana, the Sword of Three Races. Armed with it, Ordov and his allies managed to repel the attack and save Sailaina, though it already had incurred great losses by then.
As Ordov continued to lead the fight against Evezeino, he met the world's Chief God and Sovereign, the Living Disaster Yzak. The two would battle numerous times during the war, as Ordov was able to fight on par with him despite Yzak being counted among the fearsome Inviolable Waters, who were feared across the Silver Sea for their power. After countless battles with Yzak, Ordov was able to notice that Evezeino itself had a craving and would move to devour Hayfolia. To prevent it from occurring, Ordov led his troops to the Disaster Abyss World in order to buy time for Eife so she could bless the world and turn it into one of Hayfolia's worlds, which would remove its cravings. However, Yzak noticed them and was able to overwhelm and drive them away
Peace and Succession[]
After a meaningful conversation, Hayfolia and Evezeino entered an unofficial ceasefire as Yzak withdrew from the Silver Sea and fell into a deep sleep. During that period, Ordov's firstborn son, Lebrahard, managed to pick up Evansmana during the selection process for the next Holy King. However, he would lose the symbol of Hayfolia while attempting to help the Abyssal Princess of Calamity. The holy sword was broken in two while the blade was lodged in the Disaster Abyss of Craving, which was connected to her womb. Lebrahard returned with only the sword's hilt and earned the scorn of the few, but Eife pardoned him because she saw that he was still walking the path of righteousness.
After his father abdicated the throne, Lebrahard ascended to the position of the Holy King. He eventually had Hayfolia join the Silver Water Academy Pablohetara and rise through the academy alliance's hierarchy, eventually becoming the first-ranking world as part of the Upper Six Academies.
Characteristics[]
There is a pure white rainbow in Hayfolia, whose light sometimes becomes a road — the Rainbow Road. Those who have the courage to follow the road of righteousness are blessed by Eife. The Noble Hunters of Hayfolia must never deviate from it, as the Rainbow Road is their conscience embodied by Eife's divine order. When that white rainbow appears before them, they must walk through it, even if the destination is death.[1]
The Sovereign of the Hayfolia is called the Holy King (聖王 Seiō?). The Holy King is selected by their ability to wield Evansmana, the Sword of Three Races, as one gains the right to ascend to the throne after pulling it out. Evansmana chooses a king to lead Hayfolia. All the successive Holy Kings who pulled out Evansmana did their best to keep the world right, following their conscience and reason without being bound by their own selfish desires.[2] When a Holy King abdicates, their replacement will be chosen by holding a ceremony to determine the next Holy King. This achieved by the Five Holy Peers, who will be chosen as their successor if they are able to draw Evansmana. Should there be more then one candidate capable, the choice of the successor falls to the previous Holy King.
If it is determined that the Holy King has strayed from the path of righteousness, their subjects hold him accountable and can invoke the right to remove him from power. This is achieved by invoking a Holy King Succession Battle (聖王継承戦 Seiō keishō-sen?), which is a ritual to determine the new Holy King. It can be only initiated by the approval of three of the five Noble Peers, as a Noble Peer can recommend a person to be new Holy King. None of the Five Noble Peers can recommend themselves as a candidate.[3]
