It's not that order couldn't save you. It's that order didn't save you. You should have lived in accordance with order.
— Heath to his former friend Marcus[2]

Heath Tonia (ヒース・トニア Hīsu Tonia?) was one of the six candidates for the title of Great Demon King, and the Sovereign of the Holy River World Ribrahilm. He was known as the Third Demon King (第三魔王 Dai san Maō?).

Appearance[]

Heath was a hooded figure with a creepy four-eyed bird mask.

Personality[]

Heath had a very difficult personality, even for a Demon King.[1] He believed himself to be a champion of justice that protected the Silver Water Holy Sea from those who deviated from order, which he considered sacred, even if it caused people suffering.[2] Heath was also a very cautious individual who considered all possibilities before making a move.[3]

History[]

17,000 years ago, after becoming Demon King, Heath attempted to recruit his friend Marcus in his fight for the position of Great Demon King. However, Marcus turned him down, as he was unsure of who he was now that everyone in the Fusion World had fused together. When Marcus ended their friendship, Heath left without issue, as Marcus would definitely come back to him.[4][5]

The Third Demon King would keep track of Marcus, who became the loyal subordinate of the Two-Laws Usurper Noah after becoming Roncruz Zeybat. The two sailed together to save those who were rejected by order, creating the Godless Continent. Because the Great Demon King Zinnia Shivaheld declared Noah to be untouchable, Heath would assume the name of "Hermit Elmide" and Righteous Emperor to continue his vendetta.

14,000 years ago, Heath fought Noah while controlling a Mechanical God and dismissed his work as child's play. In this sea where order reigns, saving those who were abandoned by order was nothing more than a fleeting dream. His dream wasn't even his own, but one his subordinates thrust upon him. However, Roncruz reaffirmed that his master is that wind of freedom that blows across the Silver Sea, and then fused his hand with the automaton's to prevent him from moving, allowing Noah to destroy it. Noah asked him what he intended to do while pretending to be Elmide, but the artificial god replied that he was the real one before vanishing. His target seemed to be the Godless Continent, but he couldn't target it because it was in the territorial waters of the Great Demon King, who would be able to see through his disguise with his Magic Eyes.[6]

Synopsis[]

Godless Continent Arc[]

Heath appears in the Sea of Trees Ship Ioneria and causes it to wither. He asks Anos if he's the nobody pretending to be the Two-Laws Usurper and where the Sovereign of the Reincarnation World Militia, Anos Voldigoad, is. When Anos replies that he is him, the Third Demon King instantly appears before him and informs him that only those who will challenge the Great Demon King Zinnia Shivaheld can call themselves Demon King. Anos tells him it's just a coincidence, so Heath laughs it off and leaves, as he just wanted to take a look at the impostor pretending to be the Two-Laws Usurper. Because Anos couldn't repair the damage dealt to the forest, he was likely a fake.

Anos eventually goes to meet the Great Demon King while pretending to be Noah, but Heath is already there in the Magic Eye World. He questions the Two-Laws Usurper about hiding his identity and calls him Anos to make him slip up, but Anos maintains his cover. Heath then attempts to remove his mask by force, but Anos deflects his oar with his Magic Eyes of Destruction, which was enhanced due to the world's order. The Third Demon King stops there due to the slight possibility that Anos might be the real one, but since Zinnia will see through his disguise, Heath takes him to see the Great Demon King.

Zinnia notices the mask, but he lets Anos be nonetheless. When Anos asks to move the Godless Continent out of the Twelve Deep Worlds, Heath gets angered by Anos' disrespect but stands down when Zinnia calls his name. After sparring with Anos, the Great Demon King grants his request, as the Godless Continent was given to him originally. Heath asks Zinnia if he really is Noah, and he confirms it. The Third Demon King is still skeptical, but he is not so presumptuous as to doubt the Great Demon King's words. Anos then attacks Heath's ego to make him teach him flow magic, unless there is someone better than him, as Radpirika is not progressing, and his subordinate Roncruz could die. Heath agrees on the condition that Anos duels him with the Godless Continent on the line. Anos accepts, but only after saving Roncruz.

After moving the Godless Continent out, Anos goes to the Holy River World with Aisha, as Heath has already seen him with the twins. The Third Demon King tells Anos that learning flow magic is easy, and he must throw himself into the Headwaters of Aurora, where all the flow in Ribrahilm begins. Anos can give up since only the inhabitants of his world have survived, but he jumps in without hesitation. Heath leaves afterward, saying he will help him out tomorrow if he's still alive by then. However, Anos succeeds and surrenders his body to Roncruz, as he has a plan.

When Roncruz awakens, he urges the Fifth Demon King Holsefi to return the Godless Continent to the Twelve Deep Worlds, as this is what the enemy wanted. They almost succeed, but Heath and a Mechanical God blow it out of Zinnia's territorial waters. Misha, Sasha, and Roncruz attempt to bury him in a burning castle, but he easily destroys their prison, saying he is the Righteous Emperor who carries out perfect justice. Roncruz asks him where the justice is in invading this refugee for those who were abandoned by order, but Heath tells them that they should've remained suffering under order. This angers Noah's other subordinates, who attack Heath with their demon swords, but Heath transforms his body into water to avoid them and then redirects their magic back at them.

Afterward, Heath commands his Mechanical God to attack, but the twins fuse into Aisha and reduce it to nothing with their Magic Eyes of Omneity. They also summon a solar eclipse to bathe Heath in the light of destruction, which causes him to fly away in his gondola, as flow magic can't control divine power. The light eventually hits him, but his anti-magic barely protects him. He then throws his oar at them, allowing him to undo their fusing spell and bind them with water currents. He goes for Roncruz next and stabs him with his oar, giving him one last chance to follow him. Because Roncruz will always be loyal to Noah, Heath forcibly absorbs him into his body. However, a source enters the Two Laws Sword that Roncruz is carrying, and the sword starts to grow until it takes a human shape, the Two-Laws Usurper Noah's.

Noah pulls Roncruz out and kicks the Third Demon King away. Heath questions how Anos is this powerful when even Roncruz, the former Sovereign of the Fusion World, was unable to master that body. He swings his oar again, but Noah easily overpowers him and sends him crashing to the ground. Noah tells him to surrender, but Heath refuses because he is the Righteous Emperor. The Third Demon King then reveals a drop of the Headwaters of Aurora, which multiplies until it covers the entire content, creating multiple copies of himself. Noah destroys the copies, but they simply reappear. Because they all have real bodies and sources, they use source explosion magic for a suicide attack, but Noah survives without much damage.

Heath finally acknowledges that Anos is Noah's reincarnation, but that means he will eventually revert to his current body, so he just needs to buy time. In response, Noah combines Dagdala with a deepened Gilieriam Naviem, allowing him to destroy all the copies by stepping on their shadows with immense destructive power, leaving Heath's main body remaining. He asks Heath about his relationship with Grand Admiral Gigi, but it's too late, as Noah returns to being Anos while Heath's subordinates appear and begin destroying the continent with Zonade. Fortunately, the Anos Fan Union also arrives and sings the Divine Song Rodwell to nullify the bombardment while the rest of Anos' subordinates exterminate the enemy force. Anos then deepens a Vebzud and crushes Heath's source, killing him. With eyes full of anger, Heath tells Anos that even if he perishes, the Righteous Emperor won't perish and that the justice of the Silver Sea will never be handed to him.

Abilities[]

  • Immense Magic Power: Heath possesses a vast amount of magic power, as he was formidable enough to be recognized as a potential successor to the Great Demon King Zinnia Shivaheld, as well as being acknowledged as one of the Inviolable Waters, a group of extremely powerful beings that are feared across the Silver Water Holy Sea for their power.
  • Master Flow Magic User: As the Sovereign of the Holy River World, Heath specializes in Flow Magic. He is able to control the flow of magic, allowing him to deflect spells back to their casters or terminate their spells. However, he is unable to control a god's order.[2]
    • Intangibility: Heath can turn himself into a water current to evade physical attacks.[2]
    • Magic Sealing: He is able to bind his enemies with water that disrupts their magic power, preventing them from using or protecting themselves with magic.[2]
    • Headwaters of Aurora: The source of all magic order in the Holy River World. Heath can carry a droplet to another world, which will soon cover the entire land, increasing his power tremendously. This allows him to create numerous copies of himself, each with their own bodies and sources.[2]
  • Magic Deepening Mastery: According to Yzak, unlike other magic users, who had to deepen shallow spells through the use of Fire Dew, Heath was capable of deepening them without using Fire Dew, as he only needed to use his magic power in substitute.[7]

Relationships[]

Marcus/Roncruz Zeybat[]

Marcus is Heath's childhood friend, and the two promised to become the rulers of the Silver Water Holy Sea. However, while Heath managed to become the Third Demon King, Marcus lost his sense of self as he fused with others from the Fusion World. Heath tried to recruit Marcus as his military advisor but was turned down, as Marcus was unsure if he was Heath's friend or someone else.[5]

After confirming that the Two-Laws Usurper is gone, he tells Roncruz that his real master is him. Even though they parted ways, Heath forgives him since they are friends no matter what.[8] However, because Roncruz kept rejecting him, Heath decided to absorb him into his body to obtain his power by force.[2]
