Terms[]

Origin Magic Circle

Origin Magic Circle.

  • Origin Magic (起源魔法 Kigen Mahō?): Origin magic borrows power from an older and stronger existence. The older an existence is, the greater power it has. However, the older it is, the more uncertain its existence becomes, which makes its power difficult to control. Thus, the best way to use origin magic is to clearly know the existence of which one is borrowing power from or from an object with which they have an affinity. By its very nature of borrowing power from the origin, origin magic cannot affect the origin itself. Despite being widely known in the Mythical Age, in the Magical Age, its knowledge and use are exclusive to demon royalty. Origin magic was developed by Anos Voldigoad.[1]

Holy Magic Circle.

  • Holy Magic (聖なる魔法 Seinaru Mahō?): Holy magic is a term used by humans and gods to refer to a certain wavelength of magic. Humans mostly use it, as it possesses unique characteristics that make it very effective against demons, such as inflicting greater damage to them or sealing their power. While it is initially assumed that only humans can use holy magic, it is shown that if a demon possesses a high level of magic knowledge, they can use holy magic to a degree.[2] Certain unique demon swordss, such as Siegsesta, the Sword of Intent, are also capable of using holy magic.[3] Mixed-blooded demons also have an easier time adapting to using holy magic.[4]
  • Spirit Magic (精霊魔法 Seirei Mahō?): Spirit magic is a form of magic that is only usable by spirits. Each individual spirit has a unique form of magic that they use due to their rumors and legends granting them various abilities. Unlike demons or humans, spirits actually consume a portion of their source when casting their unique magic. However, the lost source portion is easily restored if the rumors and traditions that form the spirit's existence still persist. While most spirits are limited to a handful of unique magic spells, it is shown that unique Great Spirits, such as the Great Mother Spirit Reno, can utilize all types of spirit magic.
Ancient Magic Circle

Ancient Magic Circle.

  • Ancient Magic (古代魔法 Kodai Mahō?): Ancient runes were the runes used in ancient times and were considered old even in the Mythical Age. Few people studied it, and those who could use it were even more scarce. Ancient runes can amplify small amounts of magic power, but every spell formula has a limit to the power it can draw. The efficiency of ancient runes in amplifying magic actually lowers the limit. Anos suspected that this is why the ancestors of the demon race abandoned ancient runes and developed the runes used in the present day.[5]

General Magic[]

Source Magic[]

Sources are the concepts of the existence of all living things. Physical attacks and most spells cannot touch/affect the source; only certain spells can.

Gerad reincanates with the use of Silica

Syrica[]

(転生(シリカ), Shirika, lit. "Reincarnation")

The highest grade of source magic. It allows the caster to be reborn and inherit all the abilities and memories of their previous life. However, if the caster is not skilled with source magic, their memories and abilities may not be fully intact. The time it takes to reincarnate depends on the caster's magic power and lifespan. Humans reincarnate relatively quickly due to their short lifespans, while demons can take several millennia.

Anos reviving Zepes

Ingall[]

(蘇生(インガル), Ingaru, lit. "Resurrection")

A spell that resurrects the dead after offering a drop of blood. As long as it is used within three seconds after the target's death, there is no risk of permanent death. Ingall can be blocked by Lu Ingall.

Zepes turns into a zombie

Igrum[]

(腐死(イグルム), Igurumu, lit. "Rotten Death")

A spell that resurrects the dead as zombies. Those who have been resurrected gain immense magic power. In exchange, their bodies burn with hatred for their killers, and the pain of their wounds torment them for eternity.

Ivis Ep4

Dielga[]

(分魂分体(ディエルガ), Dieruga, lit. "Divided Soul Divided Body")

A spell that splits one person's source and body into two. Eventually, the separated parts return to one, leaving only the original personality. It is a difficult spell to cast with a lower success rate if it is cast after birth.[6]

Sasha and Misha fuse

Dino Jixes[]

(分離融合転生(ディノ・ジクセス), Dino Jikusesu, lit. "Separation and Fusion Reincarnation")

A spell invented by Ivis Necron to create a vessel for the founder to reincarnate into. It was used on Sasha Necron to make her more powerful. Dino Jixes is created by combining the formulas of Dielga and fusion magic. After using Dielga to split a person into two, fusion magic can be used to fuse them back together, with their magic power amplified several hundred times. The flaw of fusion magic is its limited duration, but because the two people were originally one person, fusion magic cannot separate them again.[6]

Sasha and Misha can use Dino Jixes to combine into Aisha. At first, the Necron sisters needed the assistance of their ancestor Ivis to fuse, but after becoming stronger, they could fuse by themselves.

Zeksis

Zexis[]

(根源同調(ゼクシズ), Zekushizu, lit. "Source Synchronization")

A spell that was developed by Sasha Necron since her childhood that allows the caster to match their magic wavelength to someone else's down to the source level. Since Dino Jixes distinguishes Sasha from Misha by their magic wavelength, Sasha used Zexis to match her magic wavelength with Misha's, making it impossible for Dino Jixes to tell who's the original.

Dert

Delt[]

(主格交代(デルト), Deruto, lit. "Nominative Change")

A spell intended to be used alongside Zexis that would make Misha the real entity instead of Sasha. The only condition is that Misha must completely reject Sasha. But in truth, the spell doesn't need Zexis or any conditions to work, and the only reason Sasha needs it is because of her low magic power and limited skills.

Lilia

Lyria[]

(根源変換(リリア), Riria, lit. "Source Conversion")

A spell that joins the sources of spirits and transfers some power from one to the other. Anos created it during his visit to Sheila Grandsley. Rumors and legends take on a kind of power within a spirit before they are converted into their source. Lyria links the sources of spirits, and before the power of one spirit can undergo conversion, Lyria sends it to the other spirit, allowing them to replenish their source. However, Lyria is a risky spell that can worsen a spirit's condition by transferring the power of an incompatible wavelength. Even after optimization, only a thirtieth of the power of one spirit can be transferred.[7]

Azheb 2

Azheb[]

(魔族錬成(アズヘブ), Azuhebu, lit. "Demon Training")

Enhanced source magic that can instantly reincarnate a person in a totally different physical form. Azheb also allows the source to retain the person's previous incarnation's personality and memories.

Ji Gurr[]

(根源分離(ジ・グルア), Ji Gurua, lit. "Source Separation")

A spell that Anos used to separate the fused sources of Avos Dilhevia's subordinates from Gaios and Ydol's sources.

Agronemut

Agronemt[]

(根源再生(アグロネムト), Aguronemuto, lit. "Source Regeneration")

An origin spell that uses an enemy's attack and the target's source as an origin to return the target's source to its state before receiving the attack. The caster must know the enemy's attack beforehand, so Agronemt is only usable from the second attack onwards. The caster can also use Agronemt on themselves, but because spells cannot be cast without a source, they must send Agronemt to the future with Rivide if an attack would destroy their source.[8]

Melheis' resurrection is stopped

Lu Ingall[]

(反蘇生(ル・インガル), Ru Ingaru, lit. "Anti-Resurrection")

A counterspell that prevents Ingall and requires offering a drop of blood. As long as the spell is active, Ingall will not work regardless of differences in magic power between the casters.

Ghoul Soldiers

Goa Grum[]

(腐死鬼兵隊(ゴア・グルム), Goa Gurumu, lit. "Ghoul Soldier")

An improved version of Igrum that creates ghouls instead of zombies. It produces subservient soldiers who are more powerful than what the original spell could create. However, Goa Grum also corrupts their sources.[9]

Anos turns Royals into fireworks

Indol[]

(仮死(インドル), Indoru, lit. "Apparent Death")

A spell that causes the target to remain in a state of temporary death regardless of any damage received. The target would retain their five senses the entire time and could be resurrected later. This was a common punishment two thousand years ago.[10]

Nars

Naaz[]

(根源擬装(ナーズ), Nāzu, lit. "Source Camouflage")

A spell that disguises the nature of one's source, as it is possible to conceal the user's identity by disguising the characteristics of the source, making their source's wavelength seem incredibly small or making the source have a wavelength that matches other races such as gods.

Gigerica[]

(母胎転生(ギジェリカ), Gijerika, lit. "Uterine Reincarnation")

An evolved version of Syrica. It is a spell that stimulates the evolution of a source using the womb, which transfers the power of the womb or influences the source, thus causing it to mutate. Originally, it could be used with humans and demons but was incompatible with gods. However, that flaw was corrected after Graham enlisted the aid of Scarlet Stele King Grysilis Derro.

Gavdea[]

(根源威滅強体(ガヴデア), Gavudea, lit. "Source Power Destruction Strong Body")

A spell that shaves off the user's source and turns it into power.

Radpirika[]

(融合転生(ラドピリカ), Radopirika, lit. "Fusion Reincarnation")

A spell that reincarnates the user by fusing them with another person. Memories are kept, but there exists the possibility that sources will eventually fuse, and the person whose body is being used to house the reincarnating source will be overtaken after the sources fuse.[11]

Time Magic[]

Tell

Tel[]

(魔力時計(テル), Teru, lit. "Magic Clock")

A spell that displays a clock.

Rivide

Rivide[]

(時間操作(レバイド), Rebaido, lit. "Time Manipulation")

An origin spell that allows the caster to manipulate the time of objects and spells. It can be used to reverse the time of a target to the point of origin, although this requires knowledge of the target's past. The spell can also be used to stop the time of a target[12] or send them to the future.[8] However, Rivide is a rather difficult spell to cast, and the number of targets is limited. It also has a limit of one hundred years when rewinding time.[13]

Ingdu

Ingdu[]

(過去改変(イングドゥ), Ingudu, lit. "Past Modification")

A spell that solidifies changes to the past made by Rivide.

Anos uses Revalon

Revalon[]

(時間遡航(レヴァロン), Revaron, lit. "Time Reversal")

The highest grade of time magic. Unlike Rivide, which can only reverse time locally to a target's origin, Revalon uses the entire world as an origin. Because of this, the amount of time that can be traversed using Revalon with a given amount of magic power is shorter than when using Rivide. However, Revalon can rewind time more than one hundred years if the proper conditions are met. The caster can interact with the past, but any changes that create a paradox will be reverted due to the actions of gods that govern the timestream. Furthermore, magic items cannot be brought to the past. Anos was barely able to travel two thousand years into the past with the combined power and magic items of his team and the Scythe of the Timekeeper.[13]

Spatial Magic[]

Azesis

Azesith[]

(次元牢獄(アゼイシス), Azeishisu, lit. "Dimensional Prison")

Magic that opens a gate to another dimension. Only an extremely powerful magic user can force themselves into the Dimensional Prison.

Baroika[]

(次元門番(バロイカ), Baroika, lit. "Dimensional Gatekeeper")

A magic spell developed by Anos Voldigoad that imitates Eges Code's Blood Frontier Gates created by Dehiddatem. It distorts space and time and can send objects to another dimension.

Dedradoned[]

(暗黒異界魔行路(デドラードネド), Dedorādonedo, lit. "Shadow World Magic Path")

A magic spell developed by the Sorcerer King Bomiras Heros, which creates a twisted otherworldly space and brings those who enter it from another place. It allows him to absorb and redirect enemy attacks by storing them in space and then redirecting them by opening a portal with a magic circle. While the interior of the dimension is almost infinite, the downside is that the entrance is not as large, thus allowing it to be blocked if a large enough object is stored in the entrance.

Creation Magic[]

Magic allows its caster to create things that already exist in the world, including physical representations of memories. It can also create objects, clothing, and architecture.

Iris[]

(創造建築(アイリス), Airisu, lit. "Creative Construction")

Iris can be used to create various things, from large castles to jewelry and articles of clothing. Other than Anos, Misha is extremely skilled in using Iris.

Los[]

(食料生成(ロウズ), Rōzu, lit. "Food Creation")

Los can be used to create various kinds of food, such as meat, fish, vegetables, fruits, and even wine. The magic conversion process is inefficient, and the spell formula is extremely complex. In the Magical Age, where food is abundant, there is no point in trying to learn this spell. But during the Mythical Age, where it was sometimes possible to not procure any food, this spell proved invaluable to avoid starvation.

Astrastela[]

(創造芸術建築(アストラステラ), Asutorasutera, lit. "Creative Artistic Construction")

A spell that enables the user to create and recreate an object in a new and beautiful way.

Destruction Magic[]

Bebbzud

Vebzud[]

(根源死殺(ベブズド), Bebuzudo, lit. "Source Kill")

A spell that allows the caster to touch someone's source directly. The caster must reach their hand inside the magic circle, which stains their fingertips black and allows them to manipulate, injure, and destroy sources. Just a small scratch from Vebzud is extremely painful. A pain that surpasses all the pain in the world combined is felt when the source is hurt because the deaths of all of one's future incarnations occur at once.

Egil Grone Angdroa[]

(極獄界滅灰燼魔砲(エギル・グローネ・アングドロア), Egiru Gurōne Angudoroa, lit. "Extreme Hell World Destruction Ash Magic Mortar")

A forbidden spell of Anos Voldigoad that can destroy the world. It is an origin spell that borrows power from the past God of Creation and God of Destruction of the world, from the past caster, and adds the power of the present caster to it. The caster draws a layered magic circle that forms a magic cannon as jet-black particles form a seven-layered spiral at the center of the cannon. The cannon then unleashes flames of doom that light the world on fire. The flames burn the unburnable, destroy the indestructible, and reduce the entire world to black ash. However, this spell is not considered the highest grade of fire magic because although it takes the form of flames, it is not actually fire. It is of the magic of destruction.[14] If the apocalyptic flames are not controlled, they unleash the power to destroy hundreds and thousands of worlds.[15]

Origin magic is inherently difficult to control, but because this spell borrows power from two gods, it is even more difficult. Instead, Anos combines the magic of the God of Creation and God of Destruction at maximum output to create a stable equilibrium.[16] For other spells with much lower output, it would require delicate control that makes stability nearly impossible.

However, in truth, Egil Grone Angdroa is considered great deep-class magic that was first developed in the Silver Sea by the First Demon King Amur. It is considered a rare spell, with it being speculated that only the Demon Kings of the Silver Sea could be among its users and that the number of users does not exceed ten people.

Giginuvenuens[]

(斬首刎滅極刑執行(ギギヌヴェヌエヌズ), Giginuvenuenuzu, lit. "Decapitation Destruction Death Penalty Execution")

Magic that plants the seeds of destruction deep into the target's source by covering their neck with a black restraint and decapitating them with a jet-black guillotine blade. Once the target is decapitated, its source will be destroyed and cannot be saved. The spell was created to be used on certain individuals who were too durable to be killed in any conventional way, which is why Giginuvenuens was developed as a unique form of execution magic to permanently destroy such individuals.[17]

Zonade[]

(銀界魔弾(ゾネイド), Zoneido, lit. "Silver Bubble Magic Bullet")

It is an inter-world bombardment magic that can be shot from one Silver Bubble to another, as it is a type of "silver destruction magic" that is forbidden in Pablohetara. It was developed by Odus, the Chief God of the Magic Bullet World, and Gigi, the world's Sovereign, to stop the Absolute Vortex. While the former two developed the formula and theoretical application, the bullet itself is produced by a God of Creation by creating a small Silver Bubble world to be used as a bullet. However, creating such bullets cuts down the God of Creation's source to the point where they can be destroyed from their source being reduced.[18]

Normally, no matter how powerful an attack magic is, it cannot interfere with the inside of a Silver Bubble because its power is reduced if it tries to attack the Silver Bubble directly from the outside, but with this magic, the target Silver Bubble can be destroyed directly, even from outside the bubble.

Life Magic[]

Growth -Crest-

Kurst[]

(成長(クルスト), Kurusuto, lit. "Growth")

A spell that ages the caster's body. In the Mythical Age, Kurst was commonly used during reincarnation to attain a good body quickly, but it is considered an advanced spell in the Magical Age.

Ent

Ent[]

(治癒(エント), Ento, lit. "Healing")

A spell that heals wounds.

Enshell

Enchel[]

(抗魔治癒(エンシェル), Ensheru, lit. "Anti-Magic Healing")

A more potent version of Ent.

Ei Chael[]

(総魔完全治癒(エイ・シェアル), Ei Shearu, lit. "All Magic Complete Healing")

The most powerful version of Ent. It reverses and heals all damage done to the afflicted and can even heal stigmas inflicted by holy swords, which healing magic should not affect on.

Eyss[]

(解毒(イース), Īsu, lit. "Detoxification")

A spell that removes poison from the body. It can also be used to remove alcohol, although using detoxification magic at drinking parties is frowned upon.[19]

Kursla[]

(逆成長(クルスラ), Kurusura, lit. "Reverse Growth")

A spell that has the opposite effect of Kurst and reverses the caster's age instead.

Thought Magic[]

Leaks

Leaks[]

(思念通信(リークス), Rīkusu, lit. "Thought Communication")

A spell that enables long-distance communication and mind reading. It is possible for a skilled enemy to intercept the caster's messages even if communications are encrypted. If there is difficulty establishing a connection, one can also use Gyze to establish a line.

Eviy[]

(追憶(エヴィ), Evi, lit. "Recollection")

A spell that can evoke memories, even those of the distant past. Memories that have been erased cannot be recalled with Eviy.

Liknos[]

(思念領域(リクノス), Rikunosu, lit. "Thought Domain")

A spell that allows the caster to read people's thoughts within a certain range. It is possible to block the spell with anti-magic if there is no significant difference in magic power between the caster and their targets.

Neria[]

(忘却(ネリア), Neria, lit. "Memory Lapse")

A spell that erases memories of the target.

Edolo[]

(思念妨害(エドロ), Edoro, lit. "Thought Obstruction")

A spell that interferes with Leaks.

Teles

Teles[]

(記憶刻印(テレス), Teresu, lit. "Memory Engraving")

A spell that engraves knowledge directly into a target's mind. However, the process is painful.[20]

Transportation Magic[]

Gatom

Gatom[]

(転移(ガトム), Gatomu, lit. "Transition")

A spell that connects two spaces for instantaneous movement. It was developed by Anos Voldigoad during the Mythical Age, though not many people could use it even back then. This was because while it doesn't require much magic to cast, it is difficult to construct its spell formula, which must be altered according to the spaces it connects. Only the core of Gatom remains fixed, which is the reason why this spell is considered lost magic in the Magical Age.[21]

Fless

Fless[]

(飛行(フレス), Furesu, lit. "Flight")

A spell that allows the caster to fly. If the magic of their surroundings is disturbed, Fless becomes difficult to use.[22]

Koko[]

(水中活動(ココ), Koko, lit. "Underwater Activity")

A spell allowing the caster to breathe underwater for as long as they have magic power.

Bik Inni[]

(至高水着(ビ・キニ), Bi Kini, lit. "Supreme Swimsuit")

A swimsuit that maximizes the wearer's underwater abilities. The thin fabric is a constantly activated magic circle with a spell formula that is optimized for the wearer's body. With the swimsuit, the wearer can easily swim through waves and currents or even walk on water. [23]

Contract Magic[]

Anos and Zepes Zect

Zecht[]

(契約(ゼクト), Zekuto, lit. "Contract")

A spell that is used to keep promises with another person. A breach of contract will cause one's source to self-destruct. If there is a sufficient gap in the magic power of the participants, Zecht may be unilaterally discarded with no consequence.[24]

Loa Zecht[]

(契約強制(ロア・ゼクト), Roa Zekuto, lit. "Contract Compulsion")

Unlike regular Zecht, Loa Zecht compulsively affects those who signed it and makes them perform the contract's stipulated action.

Lock Magic[]

Hero Academy's Doors

Dejit[]

(施錠結界(デジット), Dejitto, lit. "Lock Barrier")

A spell that locks gates and doors, only allowing authorized people to enter.

Dee[]

(解錠(ディ), Di, lit. "Unlock")

A spell that can unlock and open locked gates and doors. To use Dee, the caster must have complete knowledge and understanding of the magic structure and formula of the lock.

Tracking Magic[]

Enoy

Enoy[]

(追跡(エノイ), Enoi, lit. "Tracking")

A spell that tracks the location of whatever it was cast on.

Maze[]

(痕跡(メイズ), Meizu, lit. "Trace")

A spell that creates a mark of magic power, allowing the marked target to be tracked with Magic Eyes.

Illusion Magic[]

Lynel

Lynel[]

(幻影擬態(ライネル), Raineru, lit. "Illusion Mimicry")

A spell that creates illusions. It can be used to change the caster's appearance or create illusions of situations that didn't actually happen. The caster can also use it to make themselves and others invisible to the naked eye. When Najila is used with Lynel, the caster can make themselves invisible to Magic Eyes.

Najila

Najila[]

(秘匿魔力(ナジラ), Najira, lit. "Concealed Magic Power")

A spell that conceals any traces of magic. Even a demon of the Mythical Age would struggle to detect magic concealed by Najila. However, casting Najila continuously consumes a considerable amount of power. It is also difficult to hide the magic of people with extraordinary power or conceal the use of greater spells.[13]

Nedneliaz[]

(羈束首輪夢現(ネドネリアズ), Nedoneriazu, lit. "Shackle Collar Dream and Reality")

A spell that shoots out black threads that coil around the neck of the target to form a cursed collar. It puts them into a dream that they will never awaken from unless they fulfill a certain condition set by the caster or the caster manually releases them.

Restriction Magic[]

Sheila Ep 8

Gijel[]

(拘束魔鎖(ギジェル), Gijeru, lit. "Magic Restriction Chain")

Magic that binds the target with magic chains.

Zora E Dipto

Zola e Dypt[]

(獄炎鎖縛魔法陣(ゾーラ・エ・ディプト), Zōra E Diputo, lit. "Hell Flame Binding Chains Magic Formation")

An origin spell that seals the target's movement and magic power with chains of twisting black flames. At the same time, those chains trace a magic circle to compose a spell to finish them off.[8]

Nuiginias[]

(覇炎封喰(ヌイジニアス), Nuijiniasu, lit. "Overlord Flaming Seal")

It is a special form of barrier magic that is designed to seal the power and movement of the gods, but it cannot contain beings that aren't gods.

Behelius[]

(永劫死殺闇棺(ベヘリウス), Beheriusu, lit. "Eternal Death Killing Dark Coffin")

A magic spell that creates a dark coffin that causes the encased person to die forever. The trapped person's magic power is used to cause their repeated deaths, so they will die until their magic power is exhausted. The only way to stop the endless suffering is for the caster to open the lid. The spell was created as a means of torture, but was also used to guard important people who were in danger and couldn't afford to be exposed to it. Behelius could be used to restrain them by having them continuously die until the danger passes because the coffin boasts tremendous durability and is protected by powerful magic barriers and anti-magic. Despite the spell's potency, it is demonstrated that the target the spell is used on first must be weakened, restrained, or immobilized by other means. If any of these conditions aren't met, the target can break free before the first death starts continuously killing them.[25]

Amplification Magic[]

Adesin

Adesin[]

(武装強化(アデシン), Adeshin, lit. "Arms Reinforcement")

A spell used to imbue a weapon with the caster's magic. By doing this, the sharpness of the weapon is enhanced. Anos used this spell to strengthen his adamantine sword enough to clash with other demon swords in the Demon Sword Tournament because his sword originally had no magic running through it.[26]

Glear

Glear[]

(魔眼強化(グリア), Guria, lit. "Magic Eye Enhancement")

Magic that strengthens Magic Eyes.

Gagalia[]

(活性増幅(ガガリア), Gagaria, lit. "Activity Amplification")

A spell that enhances and amplifies restorative powers. However, excess restoration is poisonous. The body of Nutro Do Hiana, the Keeper of Restoration, was eroded when Gagalia magnified her already extraordinary restorative ability.[27]

Borg Vegm[]

(魔火陽炎地獄(ボルグ・ヴェグム), Borugu Vegumu, lit. "Hell Magic Flame Heat Haze")

A special type of barrier spell that was developed by Sorcerer King Bomiras Heros. His flame bodies are strengthened within the barrier, and he can create duplicate alter egos on a level that can deceive even Anos Voldigoad's Magic Eyes.

Graze Avnel[]

(火加延焼獄炎体(グレイズ・アヴネル), Gureizu Avuneru, lit. "Hellfire Flame-Spreading Body")

A magic spell developed by Sorcerer King Bomiras Heros that uses multiple Jio Graze to spread flames in order to increase his size and become a large fire giant.

Gilieriam Naviem[]

(涅槃七歩征服(ギリエリアム・ナヴィエム), Girieriamu Naviemu, lit. "Nirvana Seven Steps Conquest")

Enhancement magic that momentarily raises the caster's strength with each step they take by releasing the magic condensed in their source. Anos Voldigoad developed and used this spell after receiving Egil Grone Angdroa at his source from Revalschned, the God of Traces. If Anos unleashes all seven steps, enough power would be released to destroy the world a thousand times over.[28] In Anos' fight with the God of Gears Equis, the aftermath of activating Gilieriam Naviem, before even taking the first step, was enough to completely reduce Gear Sword Vertexfemblem to ashes. The following six steps were able to amplify the effects of basic magic such as Fless, Kurst, Gijel, Synial, Dee, and Grega to such a degree that they could shatter Equis and his Gear of Fate with ease.[29]

Compulsion Magic[]

Eage[]

(隷属(イージェ), Īje, lit. "Subordination")

A spell that allows the caster to control whatever the spell was cast on. It has little effect on beings with a will, such as demons and humans, and is mainly used on animals with low intelligence, such as familiars.

Enperm Dideya[]

(魔支配隷属服従(エンペルム・ディデイヤ), Enperumu Dideiya, lit. "Magical Control Subjugation Enslavement")

A unique compulsion spell that allows the user to control most if not all forms of magic and spells and can even force the living targets it is used on to submit to the user's will by controlling their sources. However, it is noted that Enperm Dideya has a very complex formula and a very long cast time, which makes it impractical to be used during battle.

The spell was originally developed by Scarlet Stele King Grysilis Derro after he was able to enhance himself by reincarnating with the use of Gigerica. He also used the aid of Janeldfock, the God of Magic Eyes, to help him construct the formula during battle.

Manipulation Magic[]

Gwyneth

Guineth[]

(物体操躯(グイネス), Guinesu, lit. "Object Manipulation")

A magic spell allowing the caster to animate objects. The larger the object, the more difficult it is to control, and the more magic power is required.

I Gneas

Ygg Neas[]

(森羅万掌(イ・グネアス), I Guneasu, lit. "All Creation Hand")

A spell that transcends distances, allowing the caster to grasp and hold anything in the palm of their hand, no matter how far away those things are. It causes their hand to glow with a bluish-white aura. The user is not limited by their number of hands and can grasp numerous objects simultaneously and move them in different directions.

Dedon[]

(重加(デドン), Dedon, lit. "Mass Increase")

A spell that increases the mass of a target.

Rayon[]

(掌握魔手(レイオン), Reion, lit. "Grasping Magic Hand")

High-level deep magic developed by the Two-Laws Tyrant in the Silver Water Holy Sea. The user coats their hands in layers of special magic that can be used to "catch" magic directed toward them by an enemy or magic he himself produces. They can then compound said magic multiple times back and forth between their hands to make it many times more powerful before shooting it back at an enemy.

Transformation Magic[]

Athens[]

(身体変異(アテネス), Atenesu, lit. "Body Mutation")

A magic spell that transforms an organic body into a different inorganic form.

Dugala[]

(淘汰魔爪(デュガラ), Deyugara, lit. "Culling Magic Claw")

A magic spell that causes the user's hands to harden and enlarge and cause the user to grow five claws that are as sharp as swords at the tips of their fingers. It cannot be used on any part of the body except the hands, and if both arms are cut off, they will be disabled. The claws boast tremendous power as even Anos, who had superimposed three origin spells, Vebzud, Jirasd, and Aviastan Jiara, had to avoid competing with it head-on.[25]

Deepening Magic[]

Drum[]

(深印(ドラム), Doramu, lit. "Deep Mark")

A spell with the same diving attribute as Koko. The formula views the depth of magic as an ocean and dives it into it, which deepens shallow magic. The degree of deepening varies greatly depending on the magic. It converts magical attributes and amplifies magic power, therefore increasing the power of the magic to unknown degrees.[30]

Typically, inhabitants of other worlds utilize fire dew as a catalyst to use Drum in worlds that lack the required limited order. However, inhabitants of an "imperfect world" can use an improved formula of Drum without utilizing fire dew as a catalyst in worlds that lack the required limited order. However, immense amounts of magic power are necessary to substitute fire dew.[30]

Zels[]

(深撃(ゼルス), Zerusu, lit. "Deep Attack")

A spell similar to Drum, but instead of deepening magic, it causes strikes and sword attacks to reach deeper. It is similar to Adesin, but consumes immense amounts of power. This problem can be circumvented by only activating Zels at the moment of impact when the blade touches its intended target. With this method, Shin can fight using Zels for ten times longer than Lay, despite having similar amounts of magic power.[30][31]

Barrier Magic[]

Beno Yeven

Beno Ievun[]

(四界牆壁(ベノ・イエヴン), Beno Ievun, lit. "Four Worlds Wall")

The wall that separated the four races two thousand years ago. It was made by combining the magic power of the Goddess of Creation, the Great Spirit, the Hero, and the Demon King. It takes the form of a black aurora that glows ominously and repels everything with destruction, including all magic cast at it. Beno Ievun is also an extremely powerful curse against the gods. Even though the lowest-ranked gods should have enough magic power to cross the wall, the curse repels divinity. It is impossible for keepers and divine beasts to cross the wall. Even the Heavenly Father would have to pay a considerable price to cross it.[32] Melheis preserved it inside Azesith before it disappeared one thousand years ago.[33] Anos can clad any part of his body with the same wall to act as a protective barrier or to strengthen his attacks.

Alto[]

(加護(アルト), Aruto, lit. "Protect")

The magic that protects the target's life. The technique itself judges situations autonomously and utilizes anti-magic, magic barriers, physical strengthening, and other techniques to defend. Highly convenient, but the magic formation is complicated. Also, since the magic power of the target person is used to maintain Alto if a magical person tries to manipulate the magic power by themselves, the technique will be destroyed, and the effect will be lost. Despite the weaknesses in the Mythical Era, few could not control their magic powers. This is the magic that Anos developed for his mother Izabella after she was attacked by Emilia.

Badrehia[]

(堅牢結界城壁(バディレイヒア), Badireihia, lit. "Solid Barrier Wall")

A deep magic spell of the castle-building attribute that constructs a castle wall-type magical barrier. It boasts equal or superior durability to Equis, the Chief God of the Militia World.

Sound Magic[]

(真空地帯(バドロム), Badoromu, lit. "Vacuum Area")

A spell that creates sound magic using a flute, which can be used to counter other forms of sound magic.

Alteration Magic[]

It consists of spells that change the status or nature of the caster, or the target it is used on that doesn't involve dealing damage or amplifying their abilities.

Ji Schenz[]

(秩序簒奪(ジ・シェンズ), Ji Shenzu, lit. "Order Usurpation")

A magic spell initially developed by Conflagration King Eldmed Ditigeon and completed by Anos Voldigoad that takes away the divine power possessed by the target. Anos used the spell to transfer Nosgalia's powers to Eldmed.[34]

Veneziara[]

(波身蓋然顕現(ヴェネジアラ), Venejiara, lit. "Wavy Body Possibility Manifestation")

A spell that realizes possibilities. With it, contradictory events and actions can exist simultaneously. For example, the caster can stand still while a possible version of themselves, a blurry afterimage, moves to a different location. Furthermore, the spell can be activated multiple times, increasing the number of alternative versions of oneself. Contradicting forms of Veneziara can exist simultaneously because they are only possibilities. With this spell, Anos could unsheath Leviangilma without destroying his source. He made the possibility of drawing the sword and not drawing the sword into reality at the same time.[35]

Jilma[]

(黒鞘(ジルマ), Jiruma, lit. "Black Sheath")

A magic spell that was developed to counter Evansmana, the Sword of Three Races. It covers Evansmana with a black sheath and suppresses its power. It was effective the first time it was used, but Evansmana's evolution later nullified its effects.[36]

Summon Delzogade

Delsgade[]

(魔王城召喚(デルゾゲード), Deruzogēdo, lit. "Demon King Castle Summon")

An origin spell that summons Demon Castle Delsgade, a three-dimensional magic circle emitting enormous magic power. It was impossible to move Delsgade two thousand years ago because the magic required to move the fixed magic artifact was unattainable. But with origin magic, in which power is borrowed from an older entity with greater magic power, it is possible to produce extraordinary results. If power was borrowed from Delsgade two thousand years ago, it is possible to summon Delsgade of the current era, which is closely related to it. The spell moves the castle for five minutes, and a replica made with Iris is left in its place.[38]

Anos can only use Venuzdonoa within his Demon King Castle. Still, he can summon his castle anytime he wishes in exchange for using up much of his magic power.

Girel[]

(魔糸(ギレル), Gireru, lit. "Magic Thread")

A spell that creates magic threads.

Edonica[]

(理創像(エドニカ), Edonika, lit. "Reason Creation Image")

A spell that reveals the future self that a target should strive to become. It uses the ideal that the target imagined, a part of their source, and a portion of their magic to create a doppelgänger that embodies their future potential. But while Edonica is useful for training weaker individuals such as most of the Demon King Academy's students, stronger individuals such as those part of Anos' team have long surpassed the need to train using Edonica.

Normally, Edonica can only give shape to one's ideal strength and skills and cannot gain intelligence and wisdom. The doppelgängers that were created are only masses of fighting instincts. But Anos Voldigoad once temporarily destroyed that reason using Venuzdonoa, allowing Edonica copies to have a mind of their own.[39]

Delor[]

(酒吸収(デロル), Deroru, lit. "Alcohol Absorption")

It is a magic spell developed by Misa that allows the person it used on to drink by using their whole body. The spell was created by being based on Nate Ammilion's Dragon Drinking dragon technique.[40]

The projectile is fired using a Hellfire Mortar created by the combined magic of multiple users, with complete control given to one person. However, Anos can single-handedly cast the spell, even without using the mortar itself.

The jet-black sun attacks your opponent like a comet. In the Mythical Age, one caster could use multiple Jio Graze, but in the Magical Age, twenty people could only reach a 20% success rate.

Aviastan Jiara[]

(焦死焼滅燦火焚炎(アヴィアスタン・ジアラ), Aviasutan Jiara, lit. "Kindled Blazing Incineration Flame")

A spell that was originally developed by Sorcerer King Bomiras after many reincarnations and thousands of years of research. Fire magic boasts even higher power than Jio Graze, which was previously thought to be the highest grade of fire magic. However, it requires turning the caster's body into flames. After witnessing it for the first time, Anos Voldigoad improved the formula of Aviastan Jiara and removed its requirement of turning the caster's body into flames. On the other hand, it became origin magic. Anos often uses Aviastan Jiara to clad his limbs in shining black flames and superimposes Aviastan Jiara onto other spells such as Vebzud and Jirasd.

It is so powerful that it destroyed the barrier of Rinoloros, the Goddess of Barriers, which could withstand the end of the world and put Hero Graham, protected by Protector God Sword Rolostoarm and Aske, in a dying state. The strength of fusion magic comes from the fusion of two different wavelengths of magic, which creates a powerful magic reaction that can increase the original power of the combined spells by more than tenfold. Initially, the duration of fusion magic was short due to the flaws of the basic spell formula. After witnessing the basic spell formula once, Anos improved fusion magic by incorporating origin magic into the formula by using the fusion spell itself to combine them. This increased the fusion duration by several hundredfold.

It classifies the caster and their subordinates into one of seven classes: King, Guardian, Mage, Healer, Summoner, Cavalier, and Shaman. The effect of the spell is unique for each class. This class system allowed Gyze to raise the overall power of one's army.

The classes each possess unique specializations that provide an overall group benefit when used in synergy:

  • King: The caster is always the King. They can share their magic power but must keep the magic constantly activated. Once they run out of power or die, Gyze's effects end. Also, the King class becomes weaker when separated from the subordinates they share their magic with. Typically, Guardians would build a castle, and Kings would remain within it for protection. The King's powers are greatly enhanced inside their castle, but the magnitude of that effect depends on their Guardian.
  • Guardian: Guardian gains a magical boost when using creation magic such as Iris to construct castles, dungeons, and walls or to create barriers. On the other hand, their weapon magic and attack magic are weakened.
  • Mage: Mage benefits from having its attack magic buffed and its magic increased. The trade-off is healing magic, and physical ability is decreased.
  • Healer: Healer benefits from having its healing magic buffed, and its recovery magic increased. The trade-off is that their attack magic is decreased.
  • Summoner: Summoner uses familiars, as their familiars and familiar-enhancing magic is buffed.
  • Cavalier: Cavalier benefits from having their physical abilities enhanced, but in exchange, they cannot use any magic they aren't familiar with.
  • Shaman: Shaman benefits from having their magic strengthened regarding non-healing utility spells. Shamans usually serve as scouts due to their magic strengthening, allowing them greater use of intelligence magic.

A spell that is mainly used to transform animals with the intent of improving their physical abilities. It uses animal nature and demon nature that exist in animals' sources. Results vary depending on the animal it is applied to and the power of the caster. Sometimes the target's intelligence decreases; other times, it increases, and sometimes it increases enough that they can understand human language. Additionally, the animal that has Nedra cast on it changes its appearance into that of a demon. These transformed animals are called mutants.[2] In the present Dilhade, unless certain conditions are met, Nedra is forbidden from being used.

Humans that have senses= are hard to demonize, but it is not impossible. Human demonization is different from other animals, probably due to their inherently high intelligence. A demonized human's desire, malice, and hate will manifest in their outward appearance.

Lo Masis[]

This class system allowed Asura to raise the overall power of one's army. While Gyze focuses on building castles and defending them, Asura was developed for destroying castles.

The classes each possess unique specializations that provide an overall group benefit when used in synergy:

  • Chosen: Unlike Gyze, which distributes magic power from the caster to their subordinates, Asura transfers the magical power from the troops and subordinates to the Chosen to strengthen them to a far greater degree, thus allowing the Chosen to compete with naturally more powerful demons as the Chosen's main goal is to slay the enemy demon commander, thus quickly transforming the enemy unit into a disorderly rabble if their leader is killed.
  • Wiseman: In exchange for not being able to build a castle as a defensive fortification, the Wiseman can use special support magic, as they can strengthen all of the other classes, such as boosting the power of the Chosens, buffing the attack magic of the Mages and buff the healing magic of the Healers.
  • Mage: Mage benefits from having its attack magic buffed and its magic increased. The trade-off is healing magic and physical ability are decreased.

Students of "Jerga Kanon" calling out to other humans via Aske.

Aske[]

(聖域(アスク), Asuku, lit. "Sanctuary")

Great sanctuary magic that can unite people's hearts and transform their hopes and wishes into magic power, thus allowing humans, who are originally inferior in magic to demons, to fight on par with them. Aske also strengthens the user's anti-magic barriers[52] along with their physical capabilities.[53] While having a greater number of people can increase Aske's power, it is revealed that the power increases in response to the depths and devotion of the feelings that are sent and transformed, as well as the caster's ability to unify the thoughts and feelings of the people supplying the emotions. Anos demonstrated this when his Aske backed by eight people, the Anos Fan Union, managed to surpass Ledriano's Aske, which was backed by the ten million people in Gairadite. Anos stated that Hero Kanon's Aske's was far more powerful than Ledriano's, despite having far fewer people because the humans from the Mythical Age were united in their desire to overthrow the Demon King of Tyranny and wholeheartedly believed in Kanon saving the world.[54] Aske is also used as a means to gather magic power to be used to cast a variety of holy magic spells that rely on it.

Theo Trias

Teo Triath[]

(聖域熾光砲(テオ・トライアス), Teo Toraiasu, lit. "Ablaze Light Mortar Sanctuary")

A spell that turns the holy magic collected by Aske into a magic bolt. It is the strongest single shot of light magic a hero can use.

Theo Ingall

Teo Ingall[]

(聖域蘇生(テオ・インガル), Teo Ingaru, lit. "Resurrection Sanctuary")

An enhanced version of Ingall, which can simultaneously resurrect multiple people. It can also undo the negative effects of spells that affect sources such as Goa Grum.

Theo Asc

Teo Aske[]

(聖愛域(テオ・アスク), Teo Asuku, lit. "Love Sanctuary")

, Unlike its normal counterpart, Aske, Teo Aske does not just draw power from the wishes and hopes of others, but love as well. The more the supplier loves the user, the more the power is amplified. While it was originally presumed that only romantic love could fuel the spell, Anos Voldigoad discovered that platonic love is just as effective too. Like Aske, it strengthens the user's magic power, anti-magic and physical capabilities.[55] It is said to be hostile magic towards the gods, as love magic disrupts the order of the gods.

Teo Trearos

Teo Traloth[]

(聖愛剣爆裂(テオ・トレアロス), Teo Torearosu, lit. "Holy Love Sword Explosion")

Unleashes a holy light explosion from the sword empowered by Teo Aske, inflicting great damage towards a target.[56]

Ligaro Tir Traloth[]

(双掌聖愛剣爆裂(リガロ・ティル・トレアロス), Rigaro Tiru Torearosu, lit. "Two-Handed Holy Love Sword Explosion")

The ultimate offensive love magic spell. It is a far stronger version of Teo Traloth. Two people hold the sword of light that they have created and cause a huge explosion by cutting through their opponents.[57]

Dio Grezeas[]

(聖魔愛憎剣爆撃(ディオ・グレゼアス), Dio Gurezeasu, lit. "Holy-Demonic Love-Hate Sword Explosion")

Dio Grezeas is an explosion of love and hatred. Normally, Teo Aske weaves the love of two people into one, but this version weaves together love and hate. Regular hatred does not work, but sometimes love that crosses the line turns into hate. An example would be Shin's parental love for his daughter and his feelings for his daughter's lover.[58]

Vaviro Varche Triath[]

(双剣聖魔友愛爆裂砲(ヴァヴィロ・ヴァーチェ・トライアス), Vaviro Vāche Toraiasu, lit. "Twin Swords Holy-Demonic Friendship Love Explosion Cannon")

Two swords pointed in a V shape are dyed black with light of love magic and increase in size. As they cross tips, a large mass of pure-white light shoots forward like a bullet of love.

Gard Aske[]

(狂愛域(ガルド・アスク), Garudo Asuku, lit. "Mad Love Sanctuary")

A variation of Teo Aske. It dives into the abyss of people's love, converting their deepest emotions into magic. The spell transforms love that borders on madness into a thick, viscous liquid. The sludge-like light erodes whatever it touches. Anos used this spell to counter and defeat Pope Golroana and his Selection God, using the Anos Fan Union's love.[59]

Lover Aske[]

(愛世界(ラヴル・アスク), Ravuru Asuku, lit. "Love World")

An evolved version of Teo Aske, which further increases the power of the user to a much greater degree than Teo Aske, as the user creates a localized space for them and their lover, which can accomplish feats such as allowing the user to move slow but fast at the same time. As a form of love magic, it is highly effective against the gods as it can distort the laws of the universe, disrupt the order of the gods and blind their divine eyes.

Riol Aske[]

(慈愛世界(リオル・アスク), Rioru Asuku, lit. "Compassion World")

An evolved version of Teo Aske, which allows the user to accept the distorted love of the other person with compassion and make it their own power. It also lets the user predict the enemy's attacks by reading their heart.

La Sencia[]

(想司総愛(ラー・センシア), Rā Senshia, lit. "Global Love Union")

Magic that brings together the thoughts and feelings of people worldwide and converts them into magic power.

Lover Trayazeda[]

(愛世界反爆炎花光砲(ラブル・トライアゼッダ), Raburu Toraiazedda, lit. "Love World's Response Explosive Volley of Light, Flowers, and Fire")

A reflective spell in which the spellcasters take the enemy's blow on themselves, which in return instantly increases the power of Lover Aske and releases it back towards the attacker. The strength of the reflection is increased by the strength of the attack, as "the stronger the obstacle, the stronger the love flares up."

Je Fayzen[]

(聖爆結界滅(ジ・ファイゼン), Ji Faizen, lit. "Destroying Sacred Explosion Barrier")

A magic spell that uses Aske to create a large barrier, as enemies who enter the barrier are engulfed in a holy flame explosion.

La Sencia Traloth[]

(総愛聖域熾光剣(ラー・センシア・トレアロス), Rā Senshia Torearosu, lit. "Global Love Sanctuary Ablaze Sword")

A magic spell that transforms the magical power gathered by La Sencia into a sword of light. The created sword of light demonstrated the ability to cause sword explosions of light similar to Teo Traloth, as the resulting explosion demonstrated enough power to offset Ain Ayal Naverva.

La Sencia Triath[]

(総愛聖域熾光砲(ラー・センシア・トライアス), Rā Senshia Toraiasu, lit. "Global Love Sanctuary Light Cannon")

A magic spell that uses the sword's power created by La Sencia Traloth to emit a pure white flash of magic. The power of the flash is immense as it was stated to be comparable to Anos' suppressed Egil Grone Angdroa, as it was shown to be on par with it, if only slightly inferior in terms of power.

Source Magic[]

Gavuel[]

(根源光滅爆(ガヴエル), Gavueru, lit. "Source Destruction Light Burst")

A forbidden spell that forcibly releases all the magic power stored in the source, causing a great explosion of light magic. The suicidal source explosion ends not only the caster's current life, but all their future lives by releasing the magic that would have been used in those lives. The destructive potential of the explosion far exceeds the limits of its caster.

Eleonore[]

(根源母胎(エレオノール), Ereonōru, lit. "Source Womb")

A unique form of humanoid magic created by transforming half of Jerga's source using the power of the gods and holy water.

It is used to produce source clones like Diego and Zeshia. The spell demonstrated a great ability to produce source clones, as ten thousand independent Zeshias were developed simultaneously.[60] The spell can also be used to create sources or pseudo-sources whose magic wavelength is identical to other beings the user wishes to replicate. [61] The spell also demonstrated the ability to create feelings of sources to be used as fuel for Aske, which in turn enhances spells that rely on it.[9]

The part of Jerga's source that Eleonore was created from represented his desire for peace for his descendants, thus not yielding any hatred towards the demons.[62] However, it is later revealed that the reason why Eleonore didn't develop any hatred for demons is that Militia used her power to recreate her gently to be born without hatred.[63]

Despite its capacity to mass-produce source clones, the spell itself is limited by order of the world because the upper limit of life is fixed, as the spell can only produce source clones up to the limit of the world's Fire Dew.[64]

The god who helped create Eleonore was the Heavenly Father Nosgalia to use them as shock troops to annihilate Anos Voldigoad and the demon race.[65]

Eorunes[]

(根源応援魔法球(エオルネス), Eorunesu, lit. "Source-Enhancing Magic Balls")

A spell that creates red, blue, and green magic orbs that help draw out more power from the source than one can normally use. The effect lasts 180 seconds for green, 120 seconds for blue, and 60 seconds for red, drawing increasingly less power in that order, but when the effect wears off, magic power is halved for 10 seconds.[66]

Mirror Magic[]

Regalomitein[]

(複製魔法鏡(レガロイミティン), Regaroimitin, lit. "Duplicating Magic Mirrors")

A spell that creates magic mirrors that duplicate objects reflected in them. However, they cannot duplicate living beings. Zeshia uses it to make numerous duplicates of Enharle, which are then hurled at the enemy.[67] She also demonstrated the ability to use them to duplicate the magic she cast.

Regalonatein[]

(反射魔法鏡(レガロネイティン), Regaroneitin, lit. "Reflecting Magic Mirrors")

A spell that creates magic mirrors that reflect objects and magic.[67] It can be used to redirect one's attacks to an enemy or return an enemy's attack back to them.

Lyfid[]

(聖別(リヒド), Rihido, lit. "Consecration")

A spell that blesses weapons, armor, and items and enhances their inherent functions. The spell can improve a sword's cutting ability and enhance a medicine's effectiveness. When mastered, it's possible to transform regular items into magic items with enough magic power.[2]

Jerga[]

(魔族断罪(ジェルガ), Jeruga, lit. "Demon Judgment")

A spell originally fused with Aske, which was created by transforming half of Jerga's source using the power of the gods and holy water. It was created because Jerga knew that humans' resentment towards demons would fade over time, so he poured all his hatred and desire for revenge into Aske. When Aske is used, its users would be brainwashed with Jerga's hatred towards demons. According to the Hero Academy's textbooks, the voice heard when using Aske is Hero Kanon's voice, and one could become a true hero by following his words. However, it is actually Jerga's hatred toward demons.[60] Unlike Eleonore, Jerga is not humanoid magic, but instead has become one with the order of the world, a concept that perpetually exists.

If Aske is used sufficiently, Jerga himself can manifest a specter of living holy magic that can attack demons. It is revealed that the lore of the "Deepest Darkness" was spread among the humans of Azesion so that the humans would unify their thoughts and offer their hopeful payers. The collected hope would then be forcibly drained using Aske to empower Jerga, thus allowing him to manifest a giant armor around his spectral body and manifest a large holy sword as a weapon. The armored giant showed to be immensely powerful as it was able to fight against both Anos and Lay at once (although both were weakened due to their last battle), and the holy sword demonstrated the ability to destroy Anos' source.

The god who helped create Jerga was the Heavenly Father Nosgalia with the express purpose of annihilating Anos Voldigoad and the demon race.[65]

Relyme[]

While, in theory, it allows the user to gain infinite magic power, the user's vessel would not be able to handle such immense power. It would destroy themselves, as the limit for the number of pseudo-sources that can be created at once is 100,000, in normal conditions, without the user straining themselves. (優しい世界はここから始まる(アール・アント・エルトノア), Āru Anto Erutonoa, lit. "A Gentle World Starts From Here")

The total lunar eclipse, also known as the Lunar Eclipse of Genesis, is created by hiding Artiertonoa, the Moon of Creation, behind Sarjieldenav, the Sun of Destruction. It is a unique creation spell that is considered a variation of the Lunar Eclipse of Genesis ability, which the Goddess of Creation possesses, as it allows the user to create a new world. However, unlike the Lunar Eclipse of Genesis ability, this spell can be used so long as the Solar Eclipse of Apocalypse is present, although the vast magic power that is present during the Goddess of Creation's demise won't manifest. Because the power of Lunar Eclipse of Genesis utilizes the power of the Goddess of Creation when it is in alignment with the power of her counterpart, the Goddess of Destruction, adding power from external sources such as Gyze could cause the spell to fail, particularly if the user adds more magic power then they can handle. However, it was demonstrated that La Sencia, which was empowered by the love and hope from the populace of a world can be used as fuel due to love and kindness overturning the fate of destruction.[81] By using Al Ant Eltonoa, Misha was able to create the Demon King's Garden (魔王庭園 Maō Teien?), a three-dimensional world in which Anos could unleash nearly all of his power without destroying the world during his battle against Equis.[15] Misha later used Al Ant Eltonoa in conjunction with Anos' and Lay's La Sencia and the Gear of Fate to gently recreate the Militia World that was on the verge of destruction into a new world guided by love and kindness, as she was able to rearrange the world's order and resurrect all of the destroyed gods of the Militia World, causing all of their orders to be accompanied by love and kindness[81] as well as also transforming Equis into a hope kiln.[82]

Originally it was known as Ain Ayal Naverva (笑わない世界の終わり Ein Eiāru Naveruva?, The End Of The World That Does Not Laugh). Before the Militia World's rebirth, magic emitted the light of extinction that destroyed everything. After the world was recreated, Sarjieldenav transformed with love and destroyed only what should be destroyed.

Abernyu[]

(破壊神降臨(アベルニユー), Aberuniyū, lit. "Destroyer God Descent")

Sasha's unique magic spell that summons the power of the Goddess of Destruction — Sarjieldenav, the Sun of Destruction.

Order of Arbritation[]

Gizet[]

(裁定契約(ジゼット), Jizetto, lit. "Arbitrage Contract")

Contract magic that is used by Ottlulu. It is used in the signing agreements between small worlds in Pablohetara, such as the implementation of the "Silver Water Hierarchy Battles".

Gozot[]

(異界講堂(ゴゾット), Gozotto, lit. "Otherworld Lecture Hall")

Magic that creates an isolated auditorium using the magic power of the Pablohetara Palace. Exercising magic inside the auditorium does not affect real space, but seeing, speaking, and exercising group magic from outside is possible. The magic is used to create an auditorium where it is possible to use magic to perform baptism without damaging the Pablohetara Palace.

Radina Ned Esra[]

(絡繰淵盤銀水将棋(ラジナ・ネド・エスラ), Rajina Nedo Esura, lit. "Entanglement Abyss Board Silver Water Shogi")

Magic that creates a silver-water chess board on the "Entanglement Abyss Board" at the bottom of the Pablohetara Palace.

Miscellaneous[]

Izert Jeshend[]

(淘汰暴風雷雪雨(イツェルト・ジシェンド), Itsueruto Jishendo, lit. "Culling Storm of Thunder and Snow")

A magic spell that unleashes powerful thunderstorms and snowstorms. It demonstrated enough power to easily overwhelm Misha's ice shield and withstand Sasha's Magic Eyes of Destruction.

Trivia[]

  • The spells Golzora[83] and De Lenos[84] appear only in the anime.
  • The "three-second rule" for Ingall was a surefire quip two thousand years ago, but in the Magical Age, it falls flat.[85]
  • In the Mythical Age, a heavily discussed topic was whether or not a person resurrected with Ingall was the same person who died or a different person with the same personality, memories, and body.[85]
  • According to Anos, Igrum is one of his most wholesome spells.[86]
  • Magic circles incorporate a spell formula to function. These formulae can be divided into two forms. Theoretical formulae are the most optimal for spell performance but are practically too difficult to cast due to the caster's experience and environmental factors. The formulae degrade accordingly, resulting in practical formulae. The ratio between the theoretical and practical formulae's effectiveness is the recreation ratio, or efficiency value.[87]
  • The spell Iris (アイリス Airisu?) was originally called Ibis (アイビス Aibisu?) in the web novel.
  • If the caster of Rivide makes major alterations to the past, they will be confronted by Eugo La Raviaz, the Keeper of Time, who maintains the order of time.[88]
  • Rivide cannot affect the time of the Keeper of Time. Only the Scythe of the Timekeeper can.
  • According to Anos, the key to using Iris is not focusing on an object's outward appearance, but on its inside. For example, if someone wants to create a sword, they must consider its inner structure for it to have any durability.
    • This advice is expressed by a proverb introduced by Anos in the Mythical Age, "if you want to make a stone, do not create a stone; create the atoms that form a stone."[89]
  • According to Anos, there were fewer than twenty people from the Mythical Age capable of crossing Beno Ievun, though they would have to pay a considerable cost to cross it.[90]
  • Ingall's three-second rule is inapplicable to spirits because, unlike other races, whose sources decay after death, spirits' sources are entirely sustained by the lore that birthed them.[91]
  • Beno Ievun is known as Al Ient (四聖結界(アル・イエント) Aru Iento?, Four Holy Barriers) in the human realm, wherein their history, the walls were erected by Hero Kanon so that the demon race could not attack the other races.
  • Ingall and Agronemt can be cast with a high success rate because Anos Voldigoad contained the Goddess of Destruction in a new form, the Demon Castle Delsgade. By removing the order of destruction from the world, the balance of life and death leaned slightly in favor of life.[92]
  • Short-distance teleportation is easily disrupted by anti-magic.[93]
  • Layering magic circles increases the potency of a spell, but deploying multiple of them simultaneously is no easy feat.[9]
  • It is still possible to detect people hidden with Lynel and Najila through various means:
    • People who excel at source magic can perceive the sources of people who have hidden themselves with Lynel and Najila.[94] Usually, sources can only be seen because of the magic they emit, but skilled source magic users can look directly at sources.
    • Schur can create a gentle breeze that can expose hidden people because their physical presence would disturb the airflow around them, which can then be analyzed with Magic Eyes.[42] But those hidden people can thwart this method with Schur and Lynel by recreating the flow of air in a way that makes it seem that nobody is present and using Najila to hide the use of magic.[42]
    • Extremely perceptive individuals such as Shin Reglia can sense the presence of hidden people without using Magic Eyes, although he cannot pinpoint their exact location.[95]
  • Although Ingall can resurrect a person, those who are not used to death may experience death sickness. Its potency varies depending on an individual's constitution, but the symptoms eventually disappear once an individual has experienced numerous deaths.[96]
  • The original De Jerias used by humans in the Mythical Age was inefficient, but the Demon King of Tyranny rewrote its spell formula and improved its efficacy and ease of use.[4]
