  • Keyword[]

    • Spirits: Beings formed of rumors and legends. As long as their lore is remembered, they are unable to die unless they act against those stories.
    • Teardrop Blossom: Flowers that bloom from the tears of the Mother of Spirits. If the flower develops into a fruit instead of wilting, a legend or rumor somewhere in the world will become a spirit. Not even the Great Spirit Reno herself knows what will be born.
    • The Hidden Art of a Sword: A concealed ability that can be drawn out of a demon sword or holy sword. Different swords hold different hidden arts, but the abilities can only be used by becoming one with the sword.
    • Reincarnation: The act of using the source spell Syrica to be reborn as a different being. If the caster is inept at source magic, memories and skills may be lost in the process. Awareness of one's own reincarnation may be delayed until those memories are awakened.
    • Demon Castle Delsgade: The Demon King's residence during the Mythical Age. The castle itself is a three-dimensional magic circle used for casting Venuzdonoa. The Demon King Academy uses the castle as its campus.
    • Venuzdonoa, the Abolisher of Reason: The Demon King of Tyranny's strongest ace, capable of destroying reason itself and rarely drawn even two thousand years ago. Those who have seen its blade should have all been destroyed. However...

    Adaptation Notes[]

    Differences from the web novel:

    • Revalon's description is extended. In the light novel, Anos explains that it is an origin spell that uses the entire world as an origin which is why it requires much magic power to cast.
    • The cookies Reno gives Zeshia now come from Mizali city instead of Dilhade.[1]
    • Anos uses Teles in the light novel to engrave his plan to save Misa in Igareth's head, but he uses Leaks in the web novel.[2]
    • Neon Amelka (ネオン・アーメルカ Neon Āmeruka?) was originally named Nate Amelka (ネイト・アーメルカ Neito Āmeruka?) in the web novel.[3]
    • In the light novel, Anos stares at Nosgalia with Magic Eyes dyed mauve to intimidate him, but does not in the web novel.[4]
