Let the World Be Filled With Love (世界が愛に満ちるように, Sekai ga Ai ni Michiru Yō ni^?) is the thirteenth episode of The Misfit of Demon King Academy anime series.

Synopsis

Everything started two thousand years ago. The situation suddenly shifts when the true identity of the man in the black mask, Avos Dilhevia, is revealed. Even after two thousand years, the wounds caused by the endless conflict between demons and humans have not been healed. The Demon King of Tyranny, Anos Voldigoad, makes a choice...

Summary

Two thousand years ago, after Lay was murdered by one of Jerga's followers. He learned that two thousand years in the future, Jerga had planned to kill Anos himself once he reclaimed his power as Demon King. To prevent this, Lay used the power of Evansmana to nullify this destiny and slowly rewrite history over time, creating Demon Lord Avos Dilhevia. Lay's intention for the Avos to be slain by the Humans was to pacify the hatred instilled by the late Jerga. Understanding that there was no way to dissuade Lay from abandoning his endeavor, Anos forces Lay to fight him by holding his precious necklace as collateral.

Anos and Lay then fight, and within the first few minutes, Anos manages to destroy six of Lay's seven sources. Even though the odds were against him, Lay refused to submit and surrender. In the end, Lay manages to stab and break Anos' source, who portrays himself as Avos, demands that his "troops" retreat and await his future resurrection. Discreetly, Anos returns Lay's necklace as Lay withdraws Evansmana from Anos' body, making it crumble into dust.

With that, Lay announces that the Demon Lord is "dead", but Diego, in a fit of rage, declares that Lay isn't the hero and orders the Zeshia to annihilate the Demons by self-destructing. Teleporting into the scene, Eleonore implores Diego to rescind his order; however, he goes into an incoherent rant about eliminating all Demons. Amid his rant, his body was drained of his energy as an ASC magical circle was formed in the sky that changed into Jerga.

Jerga voices his disappointment that Kanon has become the Demon Lay who slew the Demon King and easily defeated him. By their ancestor's Ivis' power, Misha and Sasha fuse into one and launch a counterattack against Jerga. Hence, Jerga tries to get the Zeshias to self-destruct, but most are stopped thanks to the combined efforts of Lay, Misa, Eleonore, and the fusion Necron.

Before Jerga can allow the Zeshias to self-destruct, Anos reappears, dispelling the Zeshias after revealing himself with the Agronemunt spell. Despite the unpredicted situation, Jerga is glad for this turn of events and sucks the hope from his subjects, transforming him into a giant gold knight in shining armor. Although easily overpowered by Jerga's newly acquired power, Anos counters this by garnishing his own power from his Fan Union's song. Utilizing this gathered power, Anos along with Lay defeat Jerga.

After the battle, Anos converts Eleonore's source into his own allowing her to maintain her power surrounding her Zeshia. Upon arriving back to Dilhade, Demon Lord Elio Ludwell a long with the Demon King Army kneel before Anos and finally acknowledge him as their one true founding ancestor. Later, Anos, Misha, Sasha, and Eleonore visit Anos' home and are elatedly greeted by Anos' parents who were shocked by Eleonore appearance. Even more so, when they believe she's Anos' third wife and has "10-thousand children".

Adaptation Notes

Differences from the light novel:

• In the web novel, Anos only used Bebesd to destroy Lay's six sources. But in the anime, Anos used many spells to destroy them, making it look as if ordinary spells could destroy the source while inside a person.
• Misa's Fusca was given emphasis in the web novel. Because it was the same spell Lignon used 2,000 years ago, Jerga thought that even the spirits sided with the demons.
• In the light novel, Anos used Asc to replenish his magic power after summoning his castle Delsgade in order to summon Venuzdonoa.
• The part where Anos asks Lay about the other Avos Dilhevia mask, which Lay does not know of, is omitted.

Trivia

• It is a mystery how Jerga came to know about the existence of Venuzdonoa, as those who saw it died without even leaving their sources.
  • The information most likely came from Nosgalia, who was aware of its creation and was planning on restoring the Order of Destruction from which the sword was created.
