Emilia Ludwell (エミリア・ルードウェル Emiria Rūdoweru?) was a pureblood royal and the homeroom teacher of Anos' class. After attempting to kill Izabella, Anos' mother, she was turned into the very mixed-blood demons she had loathed.
Appearance[]
Emilia is a young adult woman with pink eyes and long light purple hair, which she keeps in a bun. Her attire consists of a black dress on top of a white blouse and red skirt. She also wears a white shawl, white heels with pantyhose, and a pendant with a purple gem.
After her reincarnation, Emilia appears slightly younger, possessing long brown hair and matching eyes. She originally wore rags.
Personality[]
Due to being royalty, Emilia was extremely prejudiced against her mixed-blood students, whom she saw as filthy beggars scavenging for scraps of her lessons.[3] She had no qualms about injuring or even killing them if they caused problems for her. This put her in conflict with Anos, who was extremely talented despite being a mixed-blood. Even though he proved himself, she still felt like Anos had no business questioning or surpassing royalty. She was willing to sabotage him to satisfy her standards, as shown when she attempted to ruin Anos' perfect score for the dungeon exam and when she tried to steal his sword during the Demon Sword Tournament.
She highly valued her pureblood heritage and couldn't accept being anything less, as she immediately tried to kill herself after Anos reincarnated her into a mixed-blood demon. Due to the hardships she experienced, she gradually realizes how wrong her viewpoints of hybrids were. After royal students nearly kill her, Emilia recalls her own attempt at trying to kill Anos' mother and his fan union. When Izabella comes to save her, she was confused as to why she would save her. After hearing that being a hybrid was not a reason for her to be assaulted by them, she quickly returns the favor by pushing Izabella out of the way when one of the students fires at her. Anos later offers to change her back into a royal, but Emilia just sits there crying, knowing that things will never be the same again.

- High Magical Power: Emilia was a decently powerful demon because she was able to overwhelm eight members of the Anos Fan Union single-handedly. When Anos first saw her, he thought that Leorg's magic power paled in comparison with hers, implying she was much stronger than him.[4]

- Anos' torture of Emilia is toned down in the anime, with Anos not threatening to let a hundred poisonous insects devour her.[6]
- Emilia seems to be unable to wield a demon sword, as she couldn't use the one Anos created for her while he was torturing her.[6]
