Elmide (エルミデ Erumide?), the Hermit (隠者 Inja?), was the Sovereign of the Silver Water World Listeria.
Appearance[]
Elmide was a young man with long blond hair.[1]
Personality[]
Elmide was a peaceful and gentle leader.[2] When he was forced to subdue Freynea, he had a sad expression and even apologized.[1]
History[]
17,000 years ago, the Chief Goddess of Oldrobe attempted to use Listeria's Ruinious Abyss of Memories to resurrect her deceased Sovereign. However, she failed, and Noah was born as a result. Freynea tried to get rid of the boy, but he was saved by Elmide, who tried to reason with her. Because she was obsessed with resurrecting her fallen world at all costs, Elmide was forced to summon a Silver Sea Whale to devour her. Afterward, he welcomed Noah to Listeria.[1]
Elmide informed the boy of his status as a Spawn of the Ruinous Abyss, a being created from the memories of worlds that have been destroyed. He tried to help Noah find his world of origin, but the Tank of Knowledge yielded no results. This led him to speculate that Noah's world was one that hadn't been destroyed yet. He offered to help Noah find this world, but he wasn't interested. When he offered the boy something to eat, he also declined. And when he asked Noah if there was anything he wanted to do, the boy replied not particularly.[3]
Noah would eventually sail across the Silver Water Holy Sea on his own and gain loyal subordinates. When it was time to dive into the abyss, he stopped by Listeria, where Elmide cast a spell on their ship to withstand the journey.[4]
Elmide would disappear sometime after this, as 14,000 years ago, an impostor Elmide killed Listeria's Chief God and destroyed the Silver Water World.[5][2]

- Immense Magic Power: As an inhabitant of a deep world and the Sovereign of Listeria, Elmide possessed vast magic power. Because Listeria was the deepest world known prior to its destruction, Elmide was very powerful even when compared to other Sovereigns and Chief Gods from shallower worlds.

Noah[]
Elmide guided Noah during his early days of life, as he saved him from the unstable Freynea. When he discovered the possibility that Noah's world hadn't been destroyed yet, he told Noah that this was a good thing, as the other children from the Ruinous Abyss no longer had a place to call home. He offered to help Noah find it, but the boy declined, as he was born very apathetic.[3]

- According to Ottlulu, he is a hermit due to his decision to live in seclusion from Pablohetara, as he felt shallow and middle worlds should be able to make their own decisions without being influenced by Listeria.[5]
