“ | Exactly! That is his flaw! The Demon King of Tyranny has no flaws. He is so flawless that he has no enemies. Demon King Anos needs enemies if he is to become a stronger Demon King—the true Demon King! | „ |
— Eldmed to Shin Reglia in "The Conflagration King's Proposition" |
Eldmed Ditigeon (エールドメード ディティジョン Ērudomēdo Ditijon?) is a great demon who reigned during the Mythical Age as the Conflagration King (熾死王 Shishiō?). He is the new homeroom teacher of Anos' class and one of the Four Evil Kings.
Appearance[]
Eldmed is a tall and slender man with purple eyes and hair who wears a long trench coat and a top hat. He also carries a long cane.
Personality[]
Eldmed is a rather bold and cocky man who looks down on his enemies but praises those who are worth praising, as he did with Anosh Polticoal. Due to his unordinary fixation on powerful beings, he is considered both insane and creepy by those who aren't his subordinates, as his twisted obsessions tend to last for millennia.
History[]
During the Mythical Age, Eldmed became prominent as one of the era's most powerful demons and as one of the Four Evil Kings. While battling for control over Dilhade, Eldmed crossed paths with the Demon King Anos and was defeated. As a result, Eldmed became obsessed with him and wished to see the limits that the Demon King could reach and transcend. He battled Anos numerous times in order to gauge his strength and also set about to create powerful opponents for him. Eldmed screened various human warriors, but only Hero Kanon passed his selection, and even he wasn't a match for the Demon King.[3]
After the Great War, Eldmed came in contact with the Heavenly Father Nosgalia, who was previously defeated by Anos. Intrigued by the creation of a Child of God who could defeat the Demon King, Eldmed allowed the wounded god to lay dormant inside his body to recover. He then approached Shin Reglia and the Great Spirit Reno to inform them of Nosgalia's plan, stating that if the two were able to stop the Child of God, then it would be unworthy of fighting Anos. However, Eldmed led them to a trap since Nosgalia would be as likely to appear if Reno were in danger as she was meant to bear the Child of God. Shin quickly overwhelmed him and stabbed him in the heart, but the attack was also within Eldmed's expectations. Nosgalia awakened and was now being tested to see if he was worthy of being Anos' enemy.[3]
After hijacking Eldmed's body, Nosgalia fought against Shin but lost and was beheaded.[4] Eldmed regained control of his headless body and returned to Dilhade, where he told everything to his second-in-command, Zeke Ozma. He revealed his plans to steal Nosgalia's divine power by devising a new spell. Even though he lacked the expertise to complete the spell, it was different for the Demon King of Tyranny. Not Anos Voldigoad, but rather Avos Dilhevia, the Child of God who will be born from the rumors of the fictional Demon King spread by Hero Kanon.[5] Sometime later, both his head and body would be put back together, but under Nosgalia's control.
Synopsis[]
Great Spirit Arc[]
After the war with Azesion was averted, Eldmed was introduced to Class 1-2 as their new homeroom teacher. He announces that Anos is the true Demon King of Tyranny but is met with skepticism from the royal students, even after showing them a Zecht signed by the Seven Demon Elders confirming it. He then asks Anos to stand in front of the class before making all the chairs and desks disappear, stating that their behavior was inexcusable. The Anos Fan Union kneels immediately, and so do Anos' friends. Because the royals remain standing, Eldmed demands to know why their heads were still raised high in the presence of a king and if they were willing to commit treason. Despite all this display, Anos passes by "Eldmed" and tells him that his disguise is very poor, Nosgalia. Nevertheless, Anos allows him to continue teaching at the Demon King Academy.
While Nosgalia faithfully acts as their teacher, his plan is actually advanced by the Spirit King. The god eventually succeeds in awakening the Goddess of Destruction Abernyu, but contrary to the Heavenly Father's expectations, neither Anos nor his people are destroyed. In the end, he is defeated by Anos, who pierces his source and communicates with the real Eldmed. In exchange for his loyalty, Anos helps Eldmed usurp Nosgalia's divine order. After separating them, Anos turns the god into a fly and makes it so that he will only reincarnate as an insect for eternity. Afterward, Eldmed crushes Nosgalia.
Silver Water Holy Sea Arc
After the world's reincarnation, Eldmed teaches Class 1-2 about the new world. He explains that the world was recreated identically to prevent new conflicts, but that didn't mean it was the same. Order was changed, and the world no longer leaned toward destruction. The topic eventually moves to creator gods, the world they create, and which came first. He goes along with Sasha's answer of the creator being first, but how were they born if so? If there is nothing, nothing happens. That's why Eldmed concludes that order already existed before the god's birth, and if that's the case, then perhaps there was another world outside of their own.Abilities[]

He also gains golden hair, fiery-red Magic Eyes, as well as wings of light composed of magic particles that span from his back.[6]

- Master Tactician: Eldmed has also demonstrated immense tactical insight, as shown by his ability to anticipate the tactics and strategies of his opponents and come up with countermeasures. He is also capable of exploiting the character flaws of his opponents to make them agitated and prone to mistakes, such as exploiting Grysilis Derro's envy of Anos Voldigoad in order to distract him enough to rewrite the formula of the spell he was attempting to cast.
