Dominic Arzenon (ドミニク・アーツェノン Dominiku Ātsenon?) was the director of Evezeino's Phantom Beast Organization.
Appearance[]
Dominic had a young-looking face, but his lack of vitality and dead eyes made him look like a moving corpse. He wore white robes.[1]
Personality[]
Dominic was obsessed with researching Phantom Beasts, but according to Luna, even he wouldn't experiment on his own grandchildren for his research.[1]
History[]
Dominic was the patriarch of the Arzenon clan, a family renowned for their research of phantom beasts. He wanted to fulfill the family's long-cherished wish of incarnating the Arzenon's Lion of Destruction, as the founder was said to have done in the past, but he was unable to.[1] However, this would change after his personality took a turn for the worse.
Fearing that Luna would leave the family, Parrington used the Puppet Emperor's Red Thread to overwrite Dominic's personality. As a result, Dominic became more unhinged in his plan to incarnate the Lion of Destruction. He connected Luna's womb with the Disaster Abyss of Craving so that her children will be born as the incarnations of the lion. He was overjoyed while telling Luna about her fate, but she vehemently rejected his plan. Since there was nothing she could do, Dominic left her to her own devices.[1]
To prevent outsiders from discovering his control over Dominic, Parrington had him become a recluse in the Phantom Beast Organization's research tower and never leave Evezeino.[2]
Synopsis[]
Disaster Abyss World Arc[]
When Luna's connection to the Disaster Abyss of Craving resurfaces in Izabella, her reincarnation, Parrington tells her son Anos that it might be Dominic's doing. However, since he would see that Dominic was being manipulated by the Red Thread, Parrington kills Dominic to hide traces of his involvement. When Anos infiltrates the research tower, he finds a recently murdered Dominic and becomes the prime suspect.
After Parrington is discovered as the true mastermind, he resurrects Dominic as a zombie/puppet to kidnap Izabella. However, she escapes to Misha's ice world, with Dominic's corpse in pursuit. Parrington is eventually defeated and she returns without any signs of Dominic. Afterward, the ice world is swallowed by the Disaster Abyss of Craving.
Abilities[]
- Immense Magic Power: As an inhabitant of the Disaster Abyss World Evezeino and a member of the prominent Arzenon bloodline, Dominic possesses a vast amount of magic power. According to Naga Arzenon, due to the fact that he can draw power from the Disaster Abyss of Craving, his power surpassed the currently active Lions of Destruction (although Naga doesn't know the full extent of Anos' power).[3]
- Lion of Destruction Connection: By drawing on the power of the Lion of Destruction in the Disaster Abyss of Craving, Dominic can borrow its power. He can also borrow the power of incarnated lions, as he can use any magic that they can such as Kostoria's Magic Eyes of Transcription. It is stated that he can also chain the currently imperfectly incarnated lions to obey him by influencing their cravings, although this control wasn't absolute as the chains were meant for perfected lions, so the imperfectly incarnated lions are able to partly resist its control.[3]
Equipment[]
- Special Badge: As an important member of Pablohetara's Upper Six Academies, Dominic wore a special badge that would record his magic power and those near him in the event of his death. This information would then be transmitted to Pablohetara to confirm his passing and if foul play was involved.[4]

Dominic was a kind grandfather to Luna and always congratulated her on her birthday.[1]
