Devidra (デビドラ Debidora?) is a demon from two thousand years ago. His present life is Nihid (ニヒド Nihido?), a teacher at the Demon King Academy.
Appearance[]
Devidra has white hair and pointy ears. His skin is reddish, and he wears black armor. As Nihid, he has pink hair, blue eyes, and fair skin.
Personality[]
Devidra developed an intense hatred towards humans due to the Hero Jerga murdering his child in cold blood.[2] Consumed by his hatred, Devidra committed the same crime he had loathed Jerga for and even disobeyed the Demon King's orders. He could not live peacefully, knowing that the humans who slaughtered their brethren were living freely on the other side of the wall.
History[]
Shortly after the war ended, Devidra discovered Igareth Ijeiska attempting to enter Delsgade, so he brought the human prince to the Arena for a public execution despite the Demon King's prior order to release him. In the original timeline, he killed Igareth but would've eventually come to regret his actions, causing him to reincarnate to avoid repeating the same mistake and leave his hatred behind.[3]
Two thousand years later, in the Magical Age, Devidra reincarnated as Nihid and became a teacher at the Demon King Academy.
Synopsis[]
Great Spirit Arc[]
When the Great Spirit Avos Dilhevia takes control of Midhaze and rounds up the mixed-blood students, Nihid is assigned as their executioner. A girl in white is chosen to go first, but her classmate Alamith Eltimo reveals that he is the reincarnation of Azesion's Prince Igareth and offers to take her place. Nihid pretends to fire a Jio Graze at him but turns around and shoots it at the Demon Elder Melheis. When asked why he betrayed them, Nihid reveals his identity as Devidra, a loyal subordinate of Demon King Anos Voldigoad.
The two fight, and when Melheis' Jirasd is going to pierce Nihid's defenses, Alamith comes to his aid. Despite what happened between them in the past, the two are ready to leave their grudges behind for the sake of peace. Soon, other reincarnators join the fight as Misha transmutes all the Seven Demon Elders into ice cats.

Like most demons of the Mythical Age, Devidra holds nothing but unquestionable love and loyalty towards his master, Demon King Anos.
Igareth Ijeiska[]
As a relative of Jerga, Devidra saw Igareth as a target of revenge. Even though the boy did nothing wrong, Devidra viciously attacked him and eventually killed him. It was this sin that motivated him to reincarnate into the Magical Age.
Upon reuniting with the reincarnated Igareth, the two worked together alongside other reincarnated followers of the Demon King to defeat the Seven Demon Elders and rescue the hybrid students who were taken hostage.[4]

- The thing he whispered to Alamith was Anosh Polticoal, a password for Anos' subordinates from 2,000 years to find each other, as it was the identity Anos took when he traveled to the past.[5]
