Cannibal (トモグイ Tomogui?) is Naya's pet dragon.
Appearance[]
Cannibal is an oddly small dragon with the size of a cat.[1]
Personality[]
Cannibal is whimsical dragon who enjoys eating other dragons, as its will seek out any chance to consume different dragons to increase its own abilities. Despite its whimsical nature, he is very loyal to his summoner Naya, as he will fiercely defend her.
Synopsis[]
Jiordal, Kingdom of the Divine Dragon Arc[]
After visiting Jiordal and learning their summoning magic, Naya and the rest of Anos' party manage to summon their own dragons. However, Naya's peculiar dragon suddenly shrinks the other dragons and eats them, causing Eldmed to name it Cannibal. Eldmed also puts out his finger to see if Cannibal will eat it, but the small dragon rejects him.
When the students are told to stay inside a Demon King Castle due to Jiordal attacking the skydome, Cannibal escapes to eat despite there being no dragons around. Suddenly, both the song of the Divine Dragon and Cannibal disappear, though Cannibal's growls can still be heard. This leads Anos to realize that the song echoing throughout Jiordal is the Divine Dragon itself, whose body is entirely made of sound, and Cannibal ate a small portion of it.
Abilities[]
- Cannibalism: As its name suggests, Cannibal is able to consume other dragons and acquire their abilities.[2] While it was originally only able to consume other dragons, Cannibal gained the ability to devour anything after consuming the Supreme Dragon, including the orders of the gods. Naya, who used possession summon on Cannibal, began to bite Dilfred to gain his power.
- Sound Form: After consuming a portion of the Divine Dragon, Cannibal gained the ability to turn into living sound, as well as use a phonetic breath, which can disrupt magical attacks.
- Frost Breath: After consuming a blue ice variant, Cannibal gained the ability to emit a freezing ice breath.
- Flame Form: After consuming the Sorcerer King Bomiras Heros, Cannibal gained his abilities to transform into a fiery form and emit intense flames.
- Shrinking Bubbles: Cannibal is able to trap dragons in magic bubbles and shrink them for consumption.[1] However, there seems to be a limit, as it couldn't fully envelop Anos' crimson dragon, which towered over the others.

- Its Japanese name, Tomogui, comes from the word Cannibalism (共食い Tomogui?).
