Silver Water Holy Sea Arc[]
When Lay finds the missing Evansmana, Balzarondo stops him from touching it, as it was trying to return to its original form. He calls Lay a thief, but the latter replies that if Evansmana chose another candidate, he would gladly return it. After losing a duel against Lay, Balzarondo explains that Evansmana doesn't have its original handle and pulls out the real one from a magic circle. Lay gives Balzarondo the holy sword, and it sheds a holy light, showing that he is worthy. He holds Lay to his word and leaves with Evansmana.[1]
After rejoining his crew at the Silver Water Ship, they leave the Militia World and enter another world. However, Balzarondo notices Anos and his allies stowing away on the ship, so Anos attempts diplomacy. He explains that Evansmana has been in their world for some time now, if it was stolen, he will find the culprit as long as Balzarondo has evidence. When the crew informs Balzarondo that they don't have evidence, only the Holy King's words, he gets mad as he considers it insufficient. Balzarondo apologizes to them and returns Evansmana to Lay. He also introduces himself and asks if he could help them with anything else.
Unfortunately, this leads to a bigger conflict when Anos shows him Bobonga's claw looking for information. His crew accuses Anos of having ties with Arzenon, as a shallow world resident couldn't possibly repel a Lion of Destruction. Even though it's like before, and they don't have evidence, Balzarondo makes an exception since they are dealing with a beast. To prove he has the power to repel the Lion, Anos destroys their Silver Water Ship, causing everyone to plunge down into the mountains.
However, Balzarondo is still skeptical and finally concludes that Anos is a Lion of Destruction himself, as the jewel in Evansmana's real handle turned red before his presence. Balzarondo and his men team up against Anos, but he uses his physical strength to blow them away into the Sea of Trees below. Balzarondo tries to look for his missing allies, but the remaining men tell him to stop, as they are in the Two Laws Usurper's territory. Anos finds one of them and proposes a cease-fire to treat him, but suddenly, someone pierces his back. Balzarondo tries to buy time for his crew to escape, but the Two Laws Usurper cuts off his right arm. He is about to be cut down, but Anos saves him and fights the Usurper. Balzarondo and his men are blown away during their fight and use this chance to escape.
