| — Amur to Noah. |
Amur Veewither (アムル・ヴィーウィザー Amuru Vīwizā?) is one of the six candidates for the title of Great Demon King. He is known as the First Demon King (第一魔王 Dai Ichi Maō?) and the Tyrant of Destruction (壊滅の暴君 Kaimetsu no Bōkun?).
Appearance[]
Amur was described as a young demon with fiery red hair and sharp, glowing red magic eyes.
Personality[]
He's laid back and cocky with an overwhelming sense of self, being very well aware of his strength and position.
History[]
Rise of the First Demon King[]
17,000 years ago, Amur was born in the Individual World Grauvenoa, where the order of individuality would weaken if the population increased. His parents were attacked by the then First Demon King Giselle for committing the sin of marriage. Minea, his mother, fought back using her Magic Eyes of Heartfire to absorb her husband's hatred for Giselle and empower herself. However, what she failed to realize is that Amur also inherited the Magic Eyes, weakening her. As a result, Minea and her husband used their own bodies to shield Amur, leaving the baby as the sole survivor.[1]
Five years passed, and Amur met a boy his age named Noah. While going to a village of people, they are attacked by Giselle. However, Amur absorbed Giselle's hatred for misfits and killed her, getting noticed by the Great Demon King Zinnia Shivaheld in the process. In exchange for becoming the new First Demon King, Amur would receive ownership of his home world.
Helping Noah[]
16,000 years ago, he and Noah assisted the Holy King Ordov Heinriel in moving the sleeping Yzak back to his homeworld of Evezeino, as Ordov was secretly sheltering Yzak on the Holy Sword World Hayfolia.[2] Since they were in Evezeino, Amur wanted to meet Noah's benefactor, Luna Arzenon, but she had already left the Silver Bubble. Noah brought him to the shack where they lived, nevertheless, and found a tree-like Phantom Beast living in the ruins. Amur tried getting rid of it, but Noah stopped him, as no one lived there anymore. Even if the shack was destroyed, the memories remain. The phantom beast then attacked Amur, but it suddenly shrunk down and became a seed, as the thirst that spawned it was hatred, and Amur absorbed all of it.
Unable to leave the shack like that, Amur repaired it with magic, causing Noah to say that he was too compassionate and that he was ill-suited for the title of the "Tyrant of Destruction". However, Amur confided in Noah that the hatred he absorbed wouldn't disappear and that someday it would make him go mad. Despite this, he's glad that Noah is with him, as he is as strong as Amur and won't yield to anyone, so everything is going to be fine.[3]
Disappearance[]
14,000 years ago, because Noah began researching reincarnation magic in the Godless Continent, Amur knew he was going to do something extremely risky and dangerous.[4] Unwilling to let his friend go through with it, he challenged Noah to a fight to see if his fears were unfounded, even though Amur himself was weakened from trying to challenge the Absolute Vortex. During the fight, Amur revealed his newly-developed destruction magic, Egil Grone Angdroa.[5] Since Noah was able to counter it with his own spells, Amur left satisfied.[4]
After Noah disappeared to establish the Order of Reincarnation, the Absolute Vortex worsened and began absorbing the Silver Sea itself, damaging multiple Small Worlds in the process. The Great Demon King Zinnia tried using the abyss magic Agido to fight it, but Amur appeared to stop him. Since the First Demon King wasn't an opponent he could go easy on, Zinnia was forced to slam Amur inside the Absolute Vortex.[6] As a result, Amur disappeared from the Silver Water Holy Sea, with many people thinking that he died due to unknown circumstances.
Synopsis[]
Twelve Deep Worlds Arc[]
After Anos defeats most of the remaining Demon Kings, the Great Demon King Zinnia acknowledges him as his successor and transfers Agido to him. However, the Strategist Recol suddenly appears and kills Zinnia in order to steal the abyss magic. Since Anos was able to recognize him due to being Noah's reincarnation, Recol reveals himself as the First Demon King Amur Veewither.
Abilities[]
- Immense Magic Power: Amur possesses a vast amount of magic power, as he was formidable enough to be recognized as a potential successor to the Great Demon King Zinnia Shivaheld, as well as being acknowledged as a member of the Inviolable Waters, group of extremely powerful beings that are renown across the Silver Water Holy Sea for their power. Amur demonstrated the ability to fight on par with Noah, the Two-Laws Usurper, who was another member of the Inviolable Waters and a powerful being in his own right. It was stated by Bellamy Standad, a Sovereign of a world that is part of the Upper Six Academies, that he was closest in strength to the Great Demon King.[7] Because his Magic Eyes of Heartfire allows him to absorb hatred and turn it into magic power, Amur has the potential to become infinitely strong, as hatred is everywhere in the entire Silver Water Holy Sea.[8]
- Passive Learning: Amur's Magic Eyes of Heartfire absorb more than just hatred. It also absorbs memories, allowing him to gain knowledge automatically. The information can come from anywhere, even worlds deeper than Amur's, as he was able to learn about the Silver Water World Listeria.[9]
- Spell Theory Knowledge: Amur demonstrated an impressive understanding of magic as he was stated to be the first to develop the magic of Egil Grone Angdroa, showcasing his mastery of destruction magic.

- However, it later revealed that Anos knew the spell because he is Noah's reincarnation, whom Amur used the spell on.
